Q:I have a really big budget to buy a great office chair. I need something I can sit in for long periods of time without pain but also looks modern to fit with my office. I have been looking at the Steelcase leap and think, Humanscale Liberty, Knoll life, and Eurotech Ergohuman. Any ideas?
why okorder
Q:The green chairs are pretty bad. Not sure if I can find room in my budget for chair cover rental as this is a completely unexpected expense. Anyone have any suggestions or links to good DIY websites?
Do you know anyone who knits or sow you could make pillow cushions out of some old pretty fabric they don't have to all look alike just have to be part of your wedding theme. You could also tie a beautiful elegant bow around the chairs using old sheets or shirts any fabric you have laying around, or you could go out and find a store that sells cheap ribbon, tie it at the top have it flow to the ground. The dollar store sells floral arts and crafts and so does Walmart you could put together some floral designs and find a way to attach it to the back of the chair. It really depends on what kind of chairs they are plastic, wood, etc. Maybe you could use some old sheets you don't use and throw them over the chair. If money is a big issue the thrift store has some nice shirts and pants you can turn into a cushion I don't know how much time you have left to do something about the chairs but I hope this helps or sparks some ideas for you.
Q:I have a desk chair that leans back and one of the arms broke. When you lean back in the chair it puts alot of stress on the arm and it finally snapped after a couple of years. Now when you sit in the chair it twists and it really uncomfortable. I can solve the problem by putting the arm back together and was thinking that i could make a splint kind of thing for it, but the arm is a weird curvy shape and any straight material won't work. Any suggestions for materials that i could use would be appreciated or if you have another idea of how to fix it, i would happy to hear them. Please don't say super glue or tape because it will not work. Also, i'm not buying a new chair so please don't leave that as a response either.
You are wrong about using a glue. But then glue is not the right word anyway. Use a material called PL Premium Construction Adhesive. Tube section at many locations. Just don't spend much time breathing it and do not get it on your skin. This adhesive is used to stick most anything to anything - forever. Builders and masons have used this stuff for decades. The old joke is that PL will stick a Volkswagon to a brick wall. How strong? Well, if you use PL to stick two large boards together, you will never be able to break the bond - even with an axe or a ten pound sledge. The wood will be smashed to pieces and the two adhesive faces will still be solidly stuck together. As it relates to your work, I have used it to repair runners on rocking chairs and legs that have snapped apart. Still going thirty years later.
Q:When I was 15 years old there was a school play and I was in It and my role was to sin on a chair but instead of sitting on it I accidentally slipped and busted my head against it and everyone was laughing at me and now I will never sit on a chair again so what should I do to overcome my fear of it please thanks for those who answer seriously
Hi Kevin.. A standard therapy for phobias is called systematic desensitization. It involves a series of closer and closer approximations. You'd first learn to achieve a relaxed state through visual imaging or progressive relaxation. Once you learned to relax you'd be presented, while relaxed, with a distant and relatively nonthreatening approximation of a chair. Perhaps simply saying the word chair.. or looking at a photograph of a chair. Once you can remain relaxed while seeing the image or hearing the word you'd be exposed to a closer approximation.. perhaps seeing a chair on the other side of the room. When you can maintain relaxation you might be asked to approach the chair while maintaining a relaxed state. Eventually you'd be able to approach and sit in a chair while maintaining your relaxed state. The principle is that you can't maintain two opposite states.. fear/anxiety and relaxation at the same time. You might try this yourself over a period of days/weeks but having the help of a psychologist is likely to make things work out more easily. It works. Regards.
Q:im looking for the pyramat s2500 and they have 2 on amazon that are used that have some defects that i dont want plus one has no power cord.
I okorder / There are a lot of great chairs so look through what's available. Good luck finding an awesome one!
Q:Is the chair with the net face really good?
From the use of occasions, the main office, open staff office, conference room, reading room, books and reference room, training room, laboratory, staff quarters, staff canteen, etc..
Q:In my dream, my dad-- whom I have not made contact with in almost ten years-- received the electric chair. Apparently, it was because of a worldwide scam he did, or something like that. As he was about to be executed, a red number 5 was burned on his skin from black ink (I know, I don't get it either). What do you think any of this could possibly mean?
I will have to agree with the first person, and maybe you don't always understand your dreams, but maybe deep down inside you feel that you need to make contact with him. Maybe your dreams symbolizes something along the lines of how you haven't talked to him in so long and maybe things have happened between you two that have hurt you so badly, just as bad as the chair might have felt. Does the number 5 mean anything to you? 5 children, 5 siblings, 5th month,? anything? Normally, when dreaming of a death.. mean there is going to be a birth in real life. Dreams are weird things, thats for sure. don't fret too much over what this is symbolizing. Maybe it's just a dream telling you that you were thinking of your dad and you should talk to him? I hope I helped.
Q:What kind of each would you get (ex.graco ect)For the high chair would you get one that attatched directly to our chairs or get one all by itself (if that makes any sense to you)?Walker should there be any stipulations on it? Besides the obvious not using them aruond stairs or hot items things on that line.
Honestly I'd do what suits your home environment. If you have the space for a free wheeling high chair, then get one of them. Make sure they are easy to pull apart and clean. While they look fangle dangle and spiffy, they can be murderous to clean sometimes!! For a 5 month old though, I'd suggest one of those Hi-Lo chairs that actually recline. So when baby can't sit up, you can still have bub with you but reclined so they can see what you are doing. I have one myself which is very handy espeically for my now 5 year old when she was a bub. She had to go onto solids at 3.5 months (doctors orders for very severe reflux) and this reclining chair was brilliant. We still have that chair which I now use outside at our BBQ area for get togethers when we don't have enough chairs but I have since been given a babyco brand of high chair that actually clips onto the table. It's even more brilliant than a hi chair because you can still clean underneath it without the chair legs getting in the road. Bub loves it and I now which I had one myself from the beginning. With walkers, again, if you have the space go for it but I really wouldn't put a 5 month old in one just yet as they really are too short for them and they really can't hold themselves upright. If bub is too short for a walker, they tend to end up as toe walkers later one in life (not always but it can contribute) as they are stretching and trying to reach the ground to move around. Both I guess though, are not essential, they are more for our convienience rather than the child's. All the best though in whatever you decide to purchase :-)
Q:parson chairs are the poplar chairs that come with wood tables, they are almost always black or brown leather.
Parsons chairs have become so popular there are many different styles and fabrics made into slip covers. I have even seen them covered in plain white cotton, just screaming for a slipcover. There are even patterns to sew your own in fabric stores. Try looking for both. Also, if you have basic sewing and stapling tools, you can do upholstery on them yourself.
Q:I am a GCSE Art student and currently working on a still life based on chairs. For my coursework, I need to include an artist reference that relates to my still life. What artists have used chairs or furniture as a theme in their work, or in a series of pieces?
Van Gogh did several paintings of his bedroom at Arles.
