Q:These are from Germany. They are like a Spongy Foam material but the previous owners cats tore into them so they have these marks across them. It reminds me of when you take your nail and run it over a Styrofoam cup. I love the shape and modernness but I need a color change (4 dark blue, 2 yellow)! I have priced new chairs and its just not doable for what I desire. I have No clue what would be under the sponge as I would have to basically gut one and then Im lost on how to fix the mess I made! Some ideas on what I can use and how to go about doing so. Im scared it will just soak it in.

Try painting a little part in a place that is unseen, just 1cm2 in the under part of the chair - best the under part of the chair leg - the one that stands on the ground (I understood that they are entirely made from the same material, sorry if I misunderstood). That way you'll find out if the paint will soak in or stay. If it doesn't work, you can always make some covers yourself (since standard ones don't fit the shape of your chairs). The possibilities are limitless - from patchwork, to knitting them from various materials (think plastic bags, you can get very interesting results with that, not to mention it's good for the environment not to throw the bags away but reuse them creatively) to sewing them according to you own design. LIke I said - limitless possibilities.

Q:We are ordering office chairs but our desk height is 33 3/4 in. from floor to counter top. Which is too high for our current chairs. I have pain in my elbows and wrists from typing with my arms bent up to the desk. I don't know how chair height is measured so I can't tell what height to order for proper height. Q:I can snowboard perfectly fine down the slopes, I have no problem with balance or turning or anything like that. But every single time I get off of a chair lift I eat s**t. I try and do everything the people tell me, I even got a grip on my board but my boots slips right off, and my board is shiny which again makes it super slippery. I have tried putting my foot against the back binding but again my foot just slips out of position as soon as my board touches down on the snow ramp thing.! In the end I had to ask the guy to stop the chair lift and let me off so I didnt injury myself some more. Please help we are going up again in a few weeks and I dont wanna stack every time. 25 cuz thers 5 couples and they must be together so 10/2 = 5 so two per couple right? so thers one couple that can sit in five differebt ways or places on the bench or wat ever. so if theres five couples it would be 5 x 5 = 25

Google wicker or can chair repair in your area. Some businesses have kits or you may just pay to have them do it if it is that small.

It would help to see the chair. I dont believe that part controls the height of the chair. Typically it is a gas cylinder with either a leaver under the seat or piece of the seat. There are chairs that you spin to adjust height but considering your chair is massaging and heating, i would assume it is raised and lowered with the gas cylinder. If the gas cylinder is not working it may not be making a good connection. (when you pull the lever it pushes a button on the top of the gas cylinder which causes it to raise/lower) If you put the chair together yourself I would make sure that the gas cylinder is pushed all the way into the under chair bracket. Otherwise contact the manufacturer and they should send you the replacement part.

I think ours was cheaper though, it had to have been on sale. or maybe the price went up. I thought it was $50. anyways, it's a great chair. we've had it for a year and it looks brand new. the thing I have noticed about some chairs (not necessarily that exact chair, but other ones I saw in person when I was looking for one) is that the cushions do not have a removeable cover on them. the chair will get dirty so make sure you can take off the cover and throw it in the wash. the pottery barn one has a removeable cover.

Q:So i need a new chair/recliner for my house, and i came up with this idea. I could get a car's front seat from a junk yard, and turn it into a chair. I was wondering what i should do/use for the legs of the chair. Also i imagine that it will be back heavy and topple backwards easy. Please help!-Thanks.

Bill is right. You need to make a box platform for the seat to rest on. If you do it right you can leave the rails on the bottom of the seat and no one will see them due to the exterior sides of the box. I would make the two sides longer in back of the platform than the front and back portions. This allows you to do the recline without wondering if you are going to tip over backwards. About 8 inches longer in back. However, Shopko is running a sale right now on reclining swivel chairs that are pretty comfortable, with gliding ottoman, for about $70/ Just depends on what you can live with.
