A butterfly valve is a valve which can be used for isolating or regulating flow. The closing mechanism takes the form of a disk. Operation is similar to that of a ball valve, which allows for quick shut off. Butterfly valves are generally favored because they are lower in cost to other valve designs as well as being lighter in weight, meaning less support is required.

2.Main Features of the Manual Wafer Butterfly Valve

1)Flow curve tending to straight-line. Excellent regulation performance.

2)Various kinds of materials, applicable to different medium.

3)Strong wash and brush resistance and can fit to bad working condition.

4)Center plate structure, small torque of open and close.

5)Long service life. Standing the test of ten thousands opening and closing operation.

5.FAQ

1. What is manual wafer butterfly valve?

Wafer style is the more common of the two and is less expensive than the lug style. The wafer style butterfly valve is just about the standard. It ís so common that no one even bothers to use the word "wafer" when ordering a butterfly valve. It is taken for granted that if a butterfly valve is ordered, a wafer style will be received.

2. What is the working principle of manual wafer butterfly valve?

A butterfly valve is from a family of valves called quarter-turn valves. In operation, the valve is fully open or closed when the disc is rotated a quarter turn. The "butterfly" is a metal disc mounted on a rod. When the valve is closed, the disc is turned so that it completely blocks off the passageway. When the valve is fully open, the disc is rotated a quarter turn so that it allows an almost unrestricted passage of the fluid. The valve may also be opened incrementally to throttle flow.

Q:Butterfly valve model D344H and D343 difference
[2]: butterfly valve also known as butterfly valve, control valve has a simple structure, can be used for low pressure pipeline valve switching control is closed parts (disc or disc) is a disk, around the valve axis to achieve the opening and closing a valve, the valve can be used to control the air water, steam, and all kinds of corrosive media, mud, oil, metals and radioactive liquid media and other types of fluid flow. On the pipeline, mainly from cutting and throttling. Butterfly valve headstock is a disc shaped disc, in the valve body around its own axis of rotation, so as to achieve the purpose of opening or closing or regulation. The answer is recommended by Gu Fengxiang, a member of the science education category
Q:Butterfly valve D71X-1.6C, DN50, there is no difference between C and no C? What do you mean by "concrete"?
D stands for butterfly valve. 71 represents the clamp type, X represents the sealing surface material, and 16 represents the valve to bear the pressure 1.6MPA, C position is the valve body material code, omitted to represent gray cast iron valve; C represents the valve body material is carbon steel.
Q:What is the D37-10Q butterfly valve?
D- butterfly valve (valve type); 3- worm (drive); 7- pairs of clamp (connection); 10-PN1; nominal pressure of 10 kg; Q- ductile iron (valve body material).
Q:How is the lug butterfly valve connected to the flange?
It is clip type butterfly valve.Connection way is to use butterfly flange flange. The sealing surfaces at the ends of the two rubber sealing rings are respectively butted with the welded flanges welded on the pipe; the two headed screws and the nuts are used for fastening.
Q:Butterfly valve D71X-10 and butterfly D371X-10 what is the difference?
One is the turbine drive and the other is with the handle
Q:D37A1X9-16CB1: what does this butterfly valve mean?
The model is composed of 7 units, the types of valves (gate valve Z, J, L, Q ball valve, throttle valve, check valve and H valve, butterfly valve, connection mode (D) internal thread 1 thread 2, welding flange 4, 6, 7, the clamp (0) electromagnetic transmission mode 1 solenoid valve, hydraulic, electric and hydraulic turbine are 2, 3, 4 and 5 gears, bevel gear, pneumatic hydraulic, 6, 7, 8, 9) pneumatic and hydraulic, electric, structure (straight or DC type 7,1 on behalf of the center plate, vertical type A (A) and LT X9) on behalf of a sealant is heat-resistant rubber, kg 16 kg, C represents the body material of carbon steel WCB, B1 on behalf of the valve plate is made of ductile cast iron plating)
Q:Hey YA! I am looking at getting an 01 Honda Prelude this month and valve adjustment keeps coming up when people discuss this car and other cars as well. What is this? Does it cost a lot to do, and is it important? Thank you!
An import shop can probably do this in two hours and cost should be in the general range of $200-300 I'd estimate. There is a camshaft that acts on the valves, and there is a predetermined amount of play or slop in the system that is within specs. As the valve seat wears, the valve gets pulled further into the head, and this lessens the play as it wears. If it gets too tight and fails to have any play, the valve won't be held tight against the seal and it will leak, lose power and possibly burn the valve. So yea, get it set. Also may want to factor in timing belt cost and ask about that and water pump as those aer replaced together.
Q:Is the pressure test of the centerline butterfly valve checked or checked?
GB/T12238-2008 flange and clip connection elastic seal butterfly valveRules: butterfly valve must be carried out by factory inspection and testing, inspection qualified before leaving the factory.CJ/T 261-2007 "butterfly valves for water supply and drainage."Rules: each product shall be inspected by factory and quality inspection department in accordance with table 4. After inspection, the product certificate shall be attached to the factory before leaving the factory.
Q:What is the difference between turbine butterfly valve and flanged butterfly valve?
Their models are different, the structure is different, they are the main driving part, different worm gear and straight rod distinguish, all belong to the flange valve.
Q:Whenever sports cars are referred, people talk in terms of 'valves'. ex: v8, v12 etc. What does this all mean? Also they sometimes say that a v8 makes a great noise. why? How does the number of valves effects the performance? Many thanks.
When talking about car engines, references such as v4, v6, v8, v10 and v12 are not for the number of valves. it is for the number of cylinders. The more cylinders that an engine has, the more fuel it consumes and most of the time, the more horsepower it can make. There are exceptions to this though. Regarding the noise of the engine, i would agree that a v8 sounds very good when it is roaring. Valves are actually the openings for fuel to get into the cylinders and the exhaust to come out from. Most modern engines have two valves for incoming fuel and two valves for the exhaust making a total of four valves per cylinder. hope that clears it for you
