Q:Can I get aluminum powder through electrolysis?
Kinda sorta, the problem with this is that all you did was made aluminium oxide or hydroxide, when you electrolyzed the aluminium you also electrolyzed a bit of water with it, which added a hydroxyl group to the aluminum, which may have dropped a hydrogen when you dried it. If you could find an aluminium compound that is water soluble (DAMNED HARD to find) you could electrolyze it in water to get aluminium dust in the water, but that isnt very reliable or economical, the best thing for you to do is to get a ball mill or rock tumbler, add aluminium fold and about half full of regular marbles, let it run for 3 or so weeks. You need it really fine!

Q:how would you use aluminum to extract silver from film?
The silver in film is part of a silver salt (silver halides.) It is a very very small amount, probably less than 1 cent worth per roll. You would be a lot better off selling the film than trying to extract the silver from it. If you are hell bent on it, the first step is to expose the film to light. This will break the silver from the halides. Then you can go about trying to figure out how to get the silver apart from the film. I am sure it is possible, but it would involve a lot of work. I imagine you you would spend about $100 on ever $1 worth of silver you could extract.

Q:Aluminum or Steel Frame for Touring?
looks like the Americano series are equipped with tandem wheelset. That's heavy duty touring. I believe he is trying to make a sale. If aluminum flexes, then the result will be a crack. If steel decide to fail, it bends from fatigue, aluminum just snaps when it fails. Steel gives you a much noticeable warning. So...steel bends. It flexes when you put a lot of stress, but when you are touring, it's not likely your going to go all out like racers do when they pursue. Steel will absorb more of the road vibrations and shock. You might want to try a different shop if all they do is pitch Giant brand. BTW Giant is THE world largest bicycle manufacturer. They build bikes for different companies besides their own. So you never know where or what brand your really riding. There are many touring bikes out, but if you go by manufacturers then it is only limited to a few by brands. There is more options when you want a racer. Remember when choosing a touring bike to choose one with a good wheelset. I like wheels with 36 spokes or more, they take the brunt of the weight (rack, pannier, other accessories).
Q:Are electrons in aluminum free?
Any element that allows the transfer of electrical flow to move across it usually has the characteristic of having free movement electrons in the outer shell. This is why metals are particularly good at electrical conduction. The best metal for transferring electrical charge is silver followed by copper and then aluminum. Q:Aluminum Siding?
They don't make aluminum siding anymore, thank god, they only make vinyl siding. It really depends on the brand you buy and the company that installs it. I used to be a tin man before becoming a professor and I can tell you that you should do a little research first. You want stuff that will hold up in wind, is easy to clean, has a nice look and colors won't fade. You want to be sure it is made of virgin vinyl, sounds weird but trust me, if it isn't it'll fade in a few years and look like crap. The company needs to know what they are doing too or the seams and lines will be terrible, so make sure your company is really in the siding business and not just some jack-leg contractor that says I can do it. You will end up with a crap job. Now I can't remember for certain and it has been a number of years, but 10 to 12 sounds good. I hope they are going to remove the old stuff, check your wood underneath and possibly put on a moisture barrier. I would ask what they plan on doing in detail. Good luck.
