Q:Chair covers/Overlays?
No, the Hilton's rooms are pretty nice so I think the chair covers would fit right in. If you like them maybe you can offer to spring for them since he's footing the rest of the bill. Make sure to check with the hotel because I am having reception in a hotel ballroom and they provide the chair covers if you want them, you can't bring your own.
Q:can you spray paint a bean bag chair?
Be careful - read here: www.wood-furniture.biz/forums/content.php?802-Toxic-sofa-killed-our-puppy
Q:What does office furniture include?
Shelves, books, cars, shelves, reading tables, beds, and so on, because the general furniture company also has production, lockers, if you put the office also count.Office furniture products think of these?
Q:How can I find the amount of force each leg of a chair must support?
Assuming that each leg is identical and positioned at equal distances to each other, they should each support an equal fraction of the total weight, unless the weight isn't being put on the chair equally. e.g. if a four-legged chair, with legs peripendicular to the floor, has to support 100lb, each leg should support 25lb each. If the legs are at an angle, just use the leg as the hypotenuse of a right trangle, the 25lb as one side of the angle, and use trigonometry to find the force (length) of the hypotenuse.
Q:I lost weight and my office chair is suddenly very uncomfortable?
Get a new chair. A good chair is important. Do NOT skimp on a chair if you plan on working in it. Don't break the bank, but don't skimp. Same is true for shoes, flooring, kitchen knives or anything you need on a daily basis. Cheap things are cheap for a reason. My parents taught me long ago to get nice things, keep them a long time and spend the money once. You'll be happier and it is less expensive in the long run. That said, price can be indicative of quality, but it is never a MEASURE of quality. A $60 chair probably won't fit well or last long. A $500 dollar chair is a rip off or some art-deco thing that doesn't aid your comfort any. Shop around and you'll find something.
Q:Can someone help me with Chair Conformations?
Draw out a chair and number the carbons 1 to 6. Put in the axial and equatorial branches. Place the ethyl group at the equatorial position on C1. Now, since the ethyl and chloro substituents are cis, the chlorine at C4 must be in the axial position. That is, when the ethyl group is equatorial, the chlorine is axial . Draw a flip chair of the first chair. Everything that was equatorial now becomes axial, and everything that was axial now is equatorial. So, the ethyl group at C1 is axial and the chlorine at C4 is equatorial. Those are the two chair conformations of cis-1-ethyl-4-chlorocyclohexane.
Q:Will chair massagers make your skin loose?
No. Not at all. Whether or not your skin is tight or loose is mainly down to your genes and age. Young skin has much more elasticity than older skin. Well-hydated skin also has more fullness and elasticity than older or drier skin. A massage chair is NOT going to make your skin loose at all! The best things you can do to maintain skin elasticity(so it isn't loose): -Sunscreen, every single day, winter or summer. -Don't smoke -Eat a healthy diet. A varied diet with lots of fruits and veggies is best. -Maintain a healthy weight. Dramatic weight loss (like more than a third of your body weight) can result in loose skin because it was so badly stretched if very significantly overweight. Younger skin tends to be more likely to bounce back, so if you're carrying extra weight, it's better to lose it younger than after you've carried it for ten or twenty or thirty years. It's always healthier to lose it, but effects on your skin can vary based on age and how long you've carried a lot of extra weight. -Stay well-hydrated. If your pee is pale yellow to clear, you're well-hydrated. Yes, you'll be running to the restroom frequently. -Exercise! You don't have to go nuts with this. A solid half hour of walking at a brisk pace is enough. But exercise increases your network of capillaries and hydrates and plumps the skin. Also nourishes it. So try to get 30 minutes a day of decent aerobic exercise--brisk enough that you can still talk, but in short sentences. But no, a massage chair isn't going to make your skin loose. Not possible.
Q:How to fix an old rocking chair?
Do this only if you are sure she likes the rocker. Some rockers dont rock well - you want to make sure she really liked the chair first. You can buy pre-woven cane chair seat. Google for directions. Or ask for help at a craft store if you have one near ( Michael's ie) I think you can cut it to the size of the hole in the chair and then tap a bead cord into the groove ( if there is one) around it to set it in. I have looked at chairs like this before, and I LOVE old rockers. I would consider cutting a piece of lauan ( somewhat flexible) and padding it with batting from Walmart, then covering it with a pretty fabric and tacking it to the chair with small gold nails or pull the fabric to the bottom of the chair over the padding and lauan and tack it all around to the bottom of the chair. You sound like a dear son for thinking of doing this for your mom. Sweet.
Q:Barcelona Chair - why is it considered iconic?
You have to look at the chair in its original context. Look at other furniture from 1929 and you won't see anything else like the Barcelona chair. Mies van der Rohe and Lily Reich were pioneers for designing this chair from heir choice of materials, minimal lines, construction (stainless steel had just been developed). When properly built to original specs, it takes a lot of high quality materials and skilled labor to produce -- around 28 hours of labor is involved. $3900 is not much for 28 hours of labor considering all the sales people, craftsmen, managers, suppliers, delivery people, laborers needed to build and move one chair. Plus all those people require work buildings, offices, insurance, cars/trucks, phones... etc. $3900 only gets you the cheaper model, there is one made of higher grade materials at $6,000. When the chair was originally designed, it did not sell for that dollar amount, the price has been adjusted for inflation, but it still was not cheap back then, it is and will always be an exclusive item. Surely, the chair can be mass-produced by machine now and sold for cheap at Target, but then it wouldn't be an exclusive item anymore. BMW and Lexus could cheapen their products for everyone to have, but then, why bother? There are Corollas and Ford Focus for the ones who don't want to/can't spend the money. By the way, it's not a simple chair at all, it's very complex, it just looks simple because in the past 7 decades, other chair designers were inspired by that iconic design. It;s iconic because it was ground-breaking, an original thought at the time. To say it is simple is to say paper is simple... yes it sort of is, but it took humans millions of years to get around to inventing it.
Q:Do It Yourself rocking chair?
Good timing. I'm sitting at the console at work in a rocker chair. Bored and restless, rocking trying to stay awake.
