Q:ok so my wipers started to just stop working, they are on but they will not move, i can make them move by hand either, its like they are jamed. Also, when i hit bumps in the road or like slam the door they will turn on and stop somewhere on the windshield, the last few times i used them they go up slow and choppy but go down fine, so times getting stuck fully up. any tricks to get them to work, is it the motor? please help.

I have had a Hayabusa and a GSX 1000 and now a Harley FatBoyAvon or Metzler are the two best.Metzler being my favorite.always replace stock Dunlop.they don't last as long as the above or stick to the road as well.

Until yesterday‘s rain storm. After tangling, I stopped the car to untangle the wipers. When I started up again. The wiper on the drivers side stopped moving(ice/snow not the cause). Assume the BEST! chances are the NUT that holds things in place has LOOSENED at the base. Pull the cover off the base of the wiper arm and SEE! any quicky lube can do this for NOTHING! GOOD LUCK!

sounds like the wiper transmission is broken, have it replaced and you should be ok.

Yes, every make model of car has its own size. Ask the guy behind the counter at the auto parts store to look it up on the computer (or look it up yourself in those books that hang from the shelves). Most autoparts stores will put them on for you at no extra charge, and you can watch them do it. They usually just snap on or off.

The wiper switch is the most likely culprit here. They were common problems on all Ford vehicles. You can replace the switch yourself if you want to it just takes some torx bits to remove the screws from the steering column. The trim around the steering column below the steering wheel needs to be removed to access the switch. If you have a tilt steering wheel you have to remove the lever, it can be difficult to remove though. There should be two electrical connections that need to be disconnected to remove the switch. Its an easy job if you have all the tools needed and consult a shop manual. When ordering the part it may also be referred to as a multi-function switch.

Q:They have sold me at Advance Auto twice the wrong size wiper. Now I have the right size also from Advance Auto but the wiper still stops sometimes not as bad as it did with the wrong size ones. The mechanic said the relay is fine it needs a new motor but I took the wiper off and it goes back and forth fine. Could the wiper be getting stuck because it isn‘t made for a Mercedes and should I try before spending $125.00 a wiper ordered from Mercedes dealership?

I would definitely get it from the dealership if you can afford it. It will eliminate the hassle of what you have already went through. To me, that has always been worth the extra price.
