- Q:i don't have any more information science class-extra creditt THANKS A MILLION
- Copper. It's cheap. It conducts a current (electrical wires) and retains heat (pots and pans).
- Q:I don't really have much detail but my mum asked me to look it up so if you know what shes going on about give me an answerThanks in advance :D
- Electrical wire is measure by its diameter and this is done using a wire gage measure. Most house wiring is 12 gage with some a bit smaller at 14 gage. Some special circuits will use 10 gage or 8 gage wire because the electrical load i much larger. A electric store or electric dryer are examples of these types of loads. The wire gage number gets smaller as the wire gets bigger. See the link below for more info.
- Q:16 square millimeters of wire how rough how to calculate
- Re-in charge of wiring, ordinary lighting and socket with 16 tubes (that is, the British 4 in charge), 2.5 square line is not more than 3 is appropriate; air conditioning tube should be used 20 tubes (that is, the British 6 in charge), 4 square Line is not more than 3 is appropriate, air conditioning line to be set up a separate circuit.
- Q:can i just connect a regular electrical wire on there ?
- My husband has put new heads on cords in the past. Find someone who is handy and they will be able replace it for you.
- Q:I was in a room upstairs a few years ago (the one I'm in now) when i was about nine. I was hooking up N-64 or something and the wires started shaking. It wasn't a gentle shake though, it was a very violent shake. It seemed like there must have been someone back there shaking them, but of course there wasn't. Since then, I've been afraid of this room, especially at night when I have to turn the lights and computer off before I go to bed. I constantly feel like there's someone watching me. Does anyone have a reason why those wires were shaking that day? Do you think it could have been some type of paranormal activity, or just an electrical problem?
- you may have experienced a seizure.
- Q:I have replaced phone chargers, computer parts, speakers, etc. Sprays don't help, I have tied up the wires, bagged them, put them out of her reach. I can't catch her doing it to spray her with water. I am getting angry, going broke and love my cat too much to get rid of her.
- They actually have a dog and cat repellent spray today you spay it on furniture and others places animals claw at or eurinate on and it the scent is supposed to repell them. You can find it at most petsmarts today. Only thing is I would be real careful when your working with electrical wires. You don't want to hurt yourself or the animal.
- Q:I have an electrical switch that controls a recessed light. I need to move the switch, taking down the wall it is on. My questions is, why are there three wires in there? I understand that one of them is for power into the switch, 2nd one for power out to the light not sure what the third one is for? It is almost impossible for me to trace the line as it goes up into the ceiling.
- Power in, power out, switch leg to light. Good Luck
- Q:I am putting in a RV pad and I need a 30amp electrical service what Gage of wire do I need it will be aprox 200' run maybe a little less
- Well I can only comment from the UK regulations. A 30A supply over a 75 metre run would need a large cable as the voltage drop due to the cable resistance would be high, and as you are using 120V you can't afford to loose too many volts through resistance. I would use a 16mm square cable, that has a core (copper) diameter of around 1/4 or just less. I will let you convert that to AWG. I suspect you will also need a Ground Fault Interrupter on the circuit at the origin as it is an installation outside, use the standard 120 volt couplings that you normally use with your RV supply.
- Q:1.5 square copper wire can load much current and wattage
- What is the difference between high-voltage cables and ordinary low-voltage cables in construction? High-voltage cable is not more than the low-voltage cable you say should be 1KV low-voltage cable and 6 / 10kV, 8.7 / 10kV medium voltage cable The former is the voltage level,
- Q:1 phase partial HP motor does the cap get wired to the line side of the circuit? I got a junk motor and table saw that was wired with a 2 conductor cable and the line/neutral was a maybe. When I replaced the cable and cleaned the start switch it now trips the breaker. I then reversed the line/ n connections and it hums but does not start. I cleaned the dust and have read to ground for a clean insulation. After 50 some years in the electrical industry, I now need to wire some motors internally rather than send 'em to the shop for a rewind. Thanks guys.
- On all motors the Capacitor gos between the L1 and centrifugal (cut out)switch (which then gos to the start winding). In ac L1 and L2 are reversible toward the power source
