I have the Remington cool style paisley print flat iron. I bought is at Marshalls, thinking it would be better for my hair because it is ceramic. I also looked up pictures of it on google to find that the plates on it should be white, mine are silver. So would they be metal?Should I trust the Marshalls label of ceramic if the iron plates are silver, not white???
- My metallic one pulled my hair and in no way looked as though it might somewhat straighten my hair. once I invested in a ceramic straighter i spotted a directly distinction in overall performance. It did no longer placed my hair, my hair - that's clearly wavy -- became into thoroughly promptly. i admire my ceramic straightener. in spite of the shown fact that, mine became into over the counter. those the beauticians use are soooo lots greater desirable. in case you could shop for a type of greater expenisive ones it somewhat is definately somewhat worth it.s
no im not bad, or planning anything. its my good luck charm my grandpa gave me befor he died so i never took it off.its completly ceramic not metalic at all is it allowed on an airplane? and would it go off in the scanners??
- No Check this TSA page under sharp objects, composition is not an issues
I‘m 22 and getting braces for the first time. I‘ve never had any problems with my teeth until my wisdom teeth came in sideways and caused some minor misalignment on bottom which also changed my bite. My problem is I‘m confused on which braces to get! I‘m a female college student and am pretty self-conscious about getting braces. I‘ve done some research and had a consultation so I get the pros and cons but it seems like people have mixed reviews about ceramic. I don‘t drink coffee or eat any staining foods and the cost isn‘t much difference with my insurance. I guess I‘m interested to hear personal experiences with them from people my age. Any advice or suggestions would be great!

whats the difference Bones Ceramic Reds Bearings 75$ and Bones Swiss Ceramics Bearings 145$
- Bikes do 80% of braking with the front. It's a thrill, imagine running into a brick wall with no way to stop. It';s so stupid they don't even consider it on the bike test. Do NOT buy a bike with no front brake, if you want to try just don't touch the brake. Many years ago the 'Chopper crowd didn't believe in front brakes because the English racer bicycles could do stoppies and allegedly threw some riders over the bars. the difference between the 600 lb motorcycle and a 30 lb bicycle didn't bother them a bit.s
Ceramics with excellent products and first-class goods is how divided?
- At present, the standards for ceramic products are: first-class, first-class, two, two grade, qualified products and so on.But the standards here often change. Because the burning of each ceramic device is difficult. Products that are easy to burn, excellent, first class, are well distributed. Difficult to produce products (easily flawed), the share is not so clear. The best products are not allowed to have spots or blemishes on the ceramic surface,First on the surface of the ceramics is not more than three of small diameter spots, or pores, needle etc..s
So after learning about the potential risks of using Pyrex dishes at temperature higher than 450 degrees, I‘m curious whether there‘s a limit for ceramic dishes too? The recipe I‘m going to use calls for a temperature of 475 degrees. Is it safe?
- I agree with the previous answerer in that the most important thing for avoiding cracking or exploding in those kinds of dishes is to avoid cool and/or wet surfaces when they are still quite hot. (Cracks can be caused by single hard bumps to one part of glass or ceramic dishes too.bumps can create microscopic cracks which grow over time). The issue with Pyrex has been the exploding dishes which can occur well after the dish is removed from the oven without any further touching, etc. Consumer Reports has looked into this after many people reported experiencing this, as have others. The bottom line is that the type of glass used for the newer Pyrex dishes is a different type than was used before (the kind used in labs) and isn't as strong, though it is cheaper. the manufacturers say it shouldn't matter, etc, but . . . Having said all that though, it still isn't a good idea to use glass or ceramic dishes in the oven where the heat will be really high right on the rims, etc (or underneath if placed on a flame or coil). So keep them in the middle of the oven, and at less than 425-450 F.or use a metal container. And until they cool, make sure not to place them on cool or wet surfaces (instead put on a dish towel, wood board or trivet, etc).s
I have heard about air ionizers that produce harmful ozone in the air and I was wondering if electric ceramic fan heaters produce ozone?
- Firstly, no - they do not produce ozone. Secondly, ozone is a necessary gas that shields the earth from ultraviolet radiation and you from skin cancer. Breathing ozone gas gives me a bit of a sore throat and isn't particularly healthy, but the small amount produced by air ionizers is harmless. Ever notice that funny smell around large copying machines? That's ozone gas. It's produced whenever a highly charged wire is exposed to ordinary atmosphere or when an electric arc is maintained in the air as in some manufacturing plants such as during the plastic extrusion process for making bags. Some copy machines use these high voltage corona wires to charge the copying drum or to pull the powdered toner onto the paper.s
We are leaning towards Ceramic wood looking tiles as an option. On the other hand I know for a fact hardwood flooring has a greater resale value for a property. Having said that we have a dog and I know all the maintenance and cost on wood floors. We visited model houses with ceramic wood floors and it looked liked real hardwood only cold to the touch. So ceramic is more of an option for us but I just don‘t know what today‘s resale value for ceramic wood flooring. Either wood or ceramic both would be handscraped surface. Thanks
- Ceramic , even the wood look is the best option for you. How much would resale be if the wood is scratched up by the dog when you do try to sell? I like the wood look in tile plus it is so durable and it will last a lot longer than wood. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GLs
