can i trade brake systems?
- it could be the wiper switch has gone bads
Where could air be getting into brake system? Hardly, if any, rear braking.?
- Theres a couple things I can see immediately off the start. I own a 2007 Cobalt LS and it has rear drums, and I agree I haven't seen them do much of anything since I got the car, but as the commercial says, the front does about 70% of the work. If your front brakes work fine, chances are its something in the rear lines, air is a big thing especially with older systems, bleeding them the right way and the right order is critical to getting the air out. Another thing could be the actual drum cover, where the pads rub against. If the drum cover is under spec minimums, the pads won't even touch the walls. You need a shop or a micromoter to tell you whether this is true or not though. I wouldn't be surprised though if they were too thin, it'd explain the lack of control in them since the beginning and consider the age of the car, it is a likely possibility.s
What do I need to service to my brakes?
- The problem could range from a simple adjustment, air in the brake system or the most severe; total brake failure. Having a professional perform the necessary bleed, adjustments and inspection to determine the exact nature of the problem would be advised. Due to anti-lock brakes and the ever increasing complexity of brake systems, it is not a good idea to allow a shade-tree mechanic or yourself to risk damage to extremely expensive components. It is better to allow a certified technician to perform the task.s

like to do a project on regenerative braking system any help please?
- I would say ask solar car motor manufacturer Solectria but they were bought out. Honda and Toyota hybrids use them. In general the regenerative braking systems are velocity dependent and tend to absorb less efficiently at low RPM. They also tend to be much less efficient than the electric motor.s
Brakes done on 04 745li, Brakes fade afterward?
- The brake pedal would be mushy to say the least after a brake job. So after servicing, the brake pedals should be pumped to make the brake pads go to its proper position at or very near the rotors. Then you can check the fluid level and correct it. Of course to turn off the check brake pad lights you have to turn on the key without starting the engine and wait for approximately 30 seconds. But frankly I do not understand why your brakelights turned on or why you even needed to do bleeding assuming that your braking system was good before you started the servicing and that you did it properly. I can only guess that since you did not pump the pedals immediately after servicing and proceeded to drive the car then the abs/dsc system noticed low brake fluid pressure and triggered the checklights. Additional info (food for thought): checklights - displays on cluster based on lamp control module instructions (in turn based on sensor inputs) brakelights - turns on when pedal trips pedal sensor or when lcm finds high circuit resistance e-brakes - turns on based on position sensor on brake lever brake fluid level- turns on when level is below minimum in reservoir abs/dsc - turns on when low pressure is detected in abs pump along with many other possible causess

- hard situation. lookup with a search engine. this could actually help!s
Why did my brake fail?
- two possible answers: 1. you are new to driving and hit the wrong pedal, don't laugh it happens all the time 2. you possibly had a foot resting on the brake pedal while going and then when you pushed the brake to stop it was way overheated and did not work right (could have variety of issues). When your dad got there it all cooled down and worked normally.s
