Is aluminum tape toxic?
Aluminum tape is nontoxic. It uses quality pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) and has various characteristics such as good stickiness, aging resistance and enhanced thermal insulation. Aluminum foil tape with all the seams of the aluminum foil composite paste, the seal and insulation nails puncture wounds repair.
I am trying to calculate the thermal resistance of a flat aluminum plate of dimensions: 110x57.5x2.5 (mm)How should I go about and do it?I used the formula: thermal resistance thickness/(thermal conductivityxarea)With this i get a value of 0.001668°C/WIsnt it too small?I do a smilar calculation for a heat sink with parallel plate fins with the same dimensions and I get a higher thermal resistanceI get 4.5°C/W which is more realistic, therefore I think that I did a mistake in calculating the thermal resistance of the flat plate. Can anyone help me?
There are no other advantages what so everIt just keeps you from getting constipated.
how do you tan with foil? i've seen it on tv where people hold the foil by their facehow do you make that foil stand thingy, and does it really work?
if you wanna use foil while tanning ( even though you shouldn't ) this is what you do: Find a sheet of cardboard or plasticThe sheets should be somewhere close to 3 ft by 2 ftOn the front of the sheet, tap down one layer of aluminum foilTry to not crinkle the foil as this will mess with the direction of the suns raysBend the sides of the board in ward a footThe entire thing should overlap and come down to a 1 ft by 2ftWhen you want to use it, go where ever your going to tan and open the foil board and use it to direct the sun to your upper bodyWear sunglasses!! The intense rays can damage your eyes.
When people touch antennas (tv's or radios') they improove their frequency????I mean when we watch tv and then we touch its antenna,we can see more clear this channel.??????Is it because people are quot;chargedquot;????
The TV station transmitter sets up tiny electrical currents in your antennaYou TV detects these currents, amplifies them then converts them into sound and picturesThe stronger the currents in your antenna, usually the better the pictureThe amount of current induced on your antenna depends on, among other things, the physical size of the antennaWhen you get get close to the antenna, the size of the antenna changes, which changes the currents, which change the TV pictureIf the picture gets better, then the antenna was not perfect for the channel you are watchingIf antenna were in the perfect size, position, etc., then touching the antenna would only make the picture worseI have seen people use aluminum foil or wire coat hangers to get a better pictureAll these have the same principle.
Do you think this pan is oven safe?
From what I can see it can be used in the ovenIt looks like it is all stainless steel to meLid looks like stainless steel and glass so that too can go in the oven However, I wouldn't put the lit in, just because I think it would be harder to clean when all the oils are baked on to it from splattering from the panI would use aluminum foil to cover it But to answer your question, if there is no plastic on the lid or pan, they can go into the ovenHappy Cooking
I have a 7 foot diameter form, of conical shape, made of wood and will eventually top with cementThis will be the mold for which I will apply fiberglass meshing and resinI will need to remove the dried fiberglass layer without it breaking/tearing from the mold beneath itI am thinking of using a thick layer of floor wax to coat the cement but if there is a better way, I need to knowThanks!
you may settle for e (the can charge on a million electron) -a million.6x10^-19 employing this you could say that the can charge of all the electrons is (5x10^20) x (a million.6x10^-19), as you have already stated this could be your can charge in Coulombs so all you may desire to ideal is the answer to the equation above with a C afterwards to indicate can chargedesire this explains, in case you may desire to anymore i'm chuffed to assist.
I know that phosphorus is near the noble gas to complete it's octect but why is aluminum 3+? I know aluminum is under the group 3A so it has 3 valence electrons BUT WHYWhy can't aluminum be 5- or phosphorus could be 5+?
Because aluminum is a metalPhosphorus is a nonmetalMetals have positive valences.
need to make so bends in trim aluminum for roof cupola.anyone have plans for a temporary aluminum bender???
i know that alcoa makes pre bent rake and fascia trim if you can work with those sizes and just need a simple return bendyou could check with a local siding supply house and see if they have a brake available to use at their warehouseyou could do that if you can plan the shapes out and if you can make the pieces over sized and cut to fit when you get homei made a brake jig for step flashing so i could get a crisp bend in scrap siding trimif the pieces that you need to make aren't too large, a couple of pieces of 3/4 plywood or osb would workmake them about 4-6 by whatever length you need, place a filler piece of double scrap trim material on each end, then screw or nail them togetherto use it to bend you will need a sturdy, flat work table to bend againstif you just need to make small return bends, you can buy a hand brake at a supply house or home improvement center, like a sheet metal worker would use for duct worki have seen them at the home depoti also have seen one with exchangeable faces for up to a 12 bendwith most of these you can only get a bend about 1 1/4 returnif all else fails, you could try contacting a few siding contractors and see if one would work with you on a 'rain out' daygood luck!
