Smaller wheels go slower. Simple rotational motion. Larger wheels must travel faster to compensate for the greater distance traveled in on revolution. It's why some longboard racers have 95mm wheels. The only cure is to get bigger wheels. Cruising wheels are normally about 65-75mms
The differential provides this action. It is a gear system which allows the outside wheel to turn faster and further on corners. As you corner, the drive comes entirely from the inside wheel , but if the outer one could not run faster (because it has further to travel) you would find controlling the car very difficult and wear out tyre's very quickly. The differential allows this to happen whilst always maintaining drive to one of the wheels. Limited slip differentials, mentioned in an earlier answer, are used on high performance cars intended for racing or rallying where it is preferable to have some drive on both (or all 4) wheels. Do not concern yourself with this. On rear wheel drive vehicles you can see the differential housing in the centre of the back axle, with front wheel drive it is usually incorporated into the final drive within the gearbox, but both work to achieve the same result.s
The power distribution is transmitted to the wheel end through a planetary gear set, and the concrete structure is similar to that of Toyota's Prius working principle. There is an electric clutch type connection between the engine and the planetary gear set, where the engine does not need to be engaged in the drive when the clutch is disconnected, the clutch is required to drive the wheel. But the engine and the ISG motor or fixed, the amount of power generated by the ISG should be to the resistance torque tos
It matters. The weights are to keep the wheel balanced. If the wheel is out of balance, the heavier part will tend to be thrown outwards by centrifugal force as the car drives, making the wheel bounce, and often (but not always) making the steering wheel vibrate. It reduced your traction (the wheel may even bounce off the road in extreme cases), and causes premature wear on your steering, suspension and wheel bearings. The wheel will also tend to skip under heavy braking, resulting in much longer stopping distances. Your tyre will also wear unevenly, and much faster. And it's not expensive to fix - any garage or tyre place can do it quickly and cheaply.s
Loosen the flint tension screw so there is less pressure on the flint and see if you can get it working that way or you could just take the flint out and insert it with the other end first and start all over. Flints usually do not give you trouble unless the flint is worn all of the way down and a small piece gets co cked in the tube and jambs the wheel. This is easily cured by turning the wheel backwards and removing the stump and inserting a new flint.s
often situations whilst the brake pads get too skinny the caliper piston would be pushed previous its known variety and stick.this might reason the wheel to fasten up in spite of out stepping on the brake.Have a Tech seem at it and grant his/her suggestions
