Q: im planning on getting ceramic braces is there like a time extension that comes along with them compared with regular metal braces? if there is how much time difference? and other pros and cons?
No, you will have ceramic braces for the same amount of time as you would have had standard metal braces. The wires used are the same, so teeth will move at the same rate. A definite pro to ceramic braces is that they are barely noticeable and blend in with your teeth. The bracket does not stain, although elastics might. But that should not be a problem as you get elastics changed every 4-6 weeks. A downside to ceramic braces is that they do cost more then metal braces, and you would need to ask your orthodontist for an exact price. Hope this helps :)
Q: What are ceramic braces?
I had ceramic braces. After a month of wear they start to look yellow. Then you go in to have the bands changed and they look good, at first, until they start to yellow again. They don't look like braces. They look like you have horrible teeth. I would go with the metal braces. They look very nice nowadays, not like the metal braces of the past. They come in different colors. Right now my son has blue. Everytime he goes to get the bands changed he can pick a new color.
Q: what is impact resistance for ceramics?
Ceramics often are classified as a non neutonian dilatant meaning viscosity/shear rate is logrithmic
Q: How easily do they stain?Did you have to give up a lot of food so they didn‘t stain. Please help.I am getting them on thursday and I need to decide asap!
I have ceramic braces on my top teeth, and I haven't had a problem with anything, but I try to avoid cokes, tea, coffee and Kool-Aid (especially red) as much as possible. Once in a while (on the exception of the cokes.they're not good to drink with ANY braces) is okay, but I make sure I rinse out or brush my teeth ASAP after drinking. I'd also avoid Indian food. Curry stains EVERYTHING. The main thing you should remember with ceramic braces is that if you stain them, it's not as easy as changing the bands out every few weeks. Those brackets are (hopefully!) the only ones you'll have. Good luck! EDIT: Yeah, that's exactly what my braces look like right now. Ceramic on top and regular on the bottom. I had silver bands on the bottom the first couple of times I had them adjusted, but I went out on a limb and tried the baby blue, and I actually like them! The last thing I want is my braces to be obvious, but the baby blue doesn't look bad at all.
Q: Hi, I‘m 26 and I have the ceramic braces on top, I don‘t have any braces on my bottom teeth. For some reason, I noticed that the ceramic braces are changing color on me. They are starting to turn yellow!! Which is making my teeth look yellow. I brush all the time everytime I eat. (At least 5 times a day) My bottom teeth look alot whiter then my top teeth. Is there anything I can do? I get my first visit to get them tightened in 2 weeks. Can they change the ceramic braces to make them white again? How does that work??
I work in an orthodontic office and we do not recommend ceramic braces because they stain easily from things such as tea, coffee, cola, red sauces, etc. unfortunately there is not really anything you can do even if you have them change them they will change color again.
Q: If a straightener or curling iron or brush is ceramic, does is then mean that it‘s also ionic? I guess what I‘m asking is, Are all ceramic ones ionic, or are all ionic ones ceramic?
ionize is the result of using ceramic products on your hair its almost like sealing ur hair
Q: what is ceramic coating?
Coolant hasn't started mixing with oil yet
Q: what's the difference between them?
Lol tell your Boyfriend that he will keep you warm.
Q: What are the four major features of Jingdezhen ceramics?
Famille Rose PorcelainIt is also known as the soft color, white porcelain glaze decoration, the late Qing Kangxi began to stop, Qian Long's Yi Yong, perfect. The preparation method is: first in the white patterns on porcelain outline, and then landfill material, at more than 700 degrees Celsius temperature drying firing, color and soft, neat and fine art work, a painting style. There is also a sense of relief, the screen filled with strong ethnic characteristics, with China historical stories and myths and the main character, a beautiful and colorful landscapes, is true to life of bird feathers, a neat symmetrical geometric patterns.
Q: I heard ceramic coated stuff can be bad for you. How about steel? I‘m kind of leaning more towards steel because I can‘t find any websites saying it‘s even potentially bad for you. However I like the non-stick factor of ceramic. It‘s just if you google Is Your Ceramic Cookware Slowly Killing You? or Ceramic Coated Cooking Pans May be Killing You With Color it makes me kind of leery of it. All I want to do is freaken scramble some eggs. But I don‘t want to freaken die of cancer because of it.
watch out for rainy days.
