Q: Selected by the Court of aluminum to do home windows, with the material is H50 series 1.4mm thick aluminum. Now in the way to determine the window opening and closing on the hesitation, is the hinge or hinge + wind support it?
Hello i'm professional to break the aluminum windows and doors of the bridge, of course it is equipped with hinges well if you hold the page wind it will swing
Q: I am looking for a metal door with no windows. Plain with a door lock on it. No designs or stuff like that. Anyone know a site or store where I can get something like this?
Lowes, Home Depot, any store like that. If I'm not mistaken they're called something like a Solid Core Steel Security door. They are, however, fairly expensive. Good luck.
Q: Aluminum alloy door and window frame and hole wall gap for how much, in the specification can be found
Curtain wall, aluminum alloy doors and windows with building structural standards in Table 6.1.1
Q: they seem to pop and creak in the morning when the sun starts hitting them. It's very annoying when we're trying to sleep. Has anyone had this problem or know of a solution?
The good thing is that they are doing what they are designed to do. It sounds like these doors face east and get the early morning sun, meaning that they go from cool exterior side to instant sun and heat, while still being cold on interior. The doors are sealed properly and they are just moving like they are designed.
Q: Aluminum doors and windows how to nail it?
1. Aluminum doors and windows are generally installed self-tapping screws, can not use nails. Do not go in. 3. Drill hole screwdriver mounting screw. Can also play rivets.
Q: Into the door is a metal door or special door
Into the door does not belong to the special door, but not all of the door into the door are metal doors.
Q: How do I prepare my metal door for painting?
If the door isn't sanded you have to do it. If is rough, use sandpaper from the little number then to make the door softer you have to use sandpaper like 500 0r 600, After the sanding wash the door to take away all the dust, then buy a good primer in oil-base and give 2 coats to the door, after that buy a good oil-base paint and give to coats and let it dry. If you live near to the beach or in a place with a lot moister there are paints specially made for that kind of environment. If you can't stand the odor of the oil-base paint, there is a paint for metal in a water-base made by Superior that the odor isn't that strong.
Q: Hello alllt; I have this great white metal security door that has gotten its beating with natural weathering. so I would like to paint it black with a heavy gloss (saw many black doors online and they all look great) my problem is that my door isnt wood it made up of metal or aluminum (not sure which type) but the molding is great and i would like to leave a flush finish on it with no drips or no spots un-touch. but with so many rollers @ home depot which one do I chose??? Never would I have thought painting my metal door be time consuming figuring out which brush or roller 2 choose.thanks!!
Yes, I would definitely rough the door up a bit and remove all imperfections, prime/seal it. Then use a low nap roller, brushes tend to leave brush marks. A roller will make everything look smooth. Spray paint is also a good option as long as a good primer/sealer is applied. Most importantly a paint job is only as good as it's preparation-make sure all rust and imperfections are removed from the metal before priming and painting. Good Luck!
Q: Our last home had a wooden garage door, so this is new territory for me. The paint on our metal garage door peeled off from the string of hurricanes we had a few years back (Im in east FL). Its now gotten to the point where every time it rains, a little bit more paint peels off. Ive been trying to do some research online, but Ive really only found bits and pieces of info that dont really help me. I was told that I dont need to prep the door because the paint will stick to the original door finish... but my door has exposed metal where there is no finish. What kind of prep work do I need to do? Does the door need to be stripped completely and sanded? How about primer and paint, what should I be looking for? HELP ME.
clean the door very well and just lightly sand to prep for paint they sell a metal primer by rustoleum if its only small areas then you can by it in a spray can and hit those areas that are bare with a couple coats of the primer . if you dont have a sprayer and you want to brush it on then youre gonna want to do probably 3 thin coats never try to put too much paint on all at once and when you buy the finish paint buy the right solvent to thin the paint a little to be able to spread it on more evenly if you want to rent a sprayer or i would recommend a cup gun which is a small handheld sprayer that is hooked up to an air compressor and has a cup attached to the gun where the paint goes in.. hope this helps.
