- They can be done as two separate piercings, and it is up to the piercer and the shape of your ear to decide if something like that will be done. However, I would not recommend it, because even if it is partially healed, putting two separate earrings in can still misalign the piercing when you go to put the bar back in later. I would recommend keeping the bar in, it's a guaranteed way to make your piercing work out. Besides, once you get used to the bar, you won't even know you have it in! Much easier than keeping track of two separate earrings and making sure they still align months down the road. As for the angle, it depends on your preference and what is able to be done due to the shape of your ear. Some people want theirs straight across, others want a much steeper angle. - your best thing to do is to look up in the phone book or Internet. there are lots of different companies that rent out lifts. Depending on where you live. I know of a few nationwide ones, Hertz for one. Just call the company and tell them you need a lift. if the work is to be done outside I would use a small boom lift, but if it needs to be done inside just a regular platform lift should do the job. they also come in gas, and electric but being that you only need one to reach 16 ft. you probably only need an electric, just be sure to charge it over night when you are not using it! You will probably have to make a credit card deposit also.

- Q: I've been wanting an industrial piercing for quite a while now, and thankfully I convinced my parents to let me get it done about two weeks ago. We were on vacation in Florida last week and my mom said I could get it done there if I wanted, so we went into a tattoo shop and asked about it. They told me something I'd never heard before, that they would pierce the holes with hoops and in about a month I could put the barbell in. The piercers told me it would heal a lot easier this way and if the barbell was put in right away I'd end up taking it out because of the pain. This makes sense of course, but I have NEVER heard of it being pierced this way, and once the holes heal, won't they be off in aligning the bar with the piercings, causing me even more pain?They told me if I get it pierced in my home town to tell the piercer to do it the way they suggested but I'm not sure at all. I could take the pain if that was the only issue, but if it would heal better.. I'm not sure. Help? Thanks!
- Stretching shouldn't hurt if you're giving it enough time... so this really isn't a good comparison! A single cartilage piercing doesn't hurt much more than your standard earlobe (lobe being 2, cartilage piercing being 3 on a scale of 1 to 10). But I've never had a scaffold or orbital of any kind, so I don't have much first hand experience. Honestly though I wouldn't worry about it. It will be over in 30 seconds, 1 minute tops. And you get to come away with a pretty new piercing! Yay!

The best way to make sure of this is to go to your body piercer and ask them to help you order a new bar. You can also just change the ends if you're looking for a new look. If you get the wrong length and shape, you can end up ruining your piercing. Bars that are the wrong size can put pressure on the piercings and cause them to migrate, deform, form keloids, or at the least be very sore. Just pop into your piercer and order the right thing! If you mean what would match to be worn with it, not in it then just about any body jewlery will look fine.
