- I have sprayed glass with a very light coat of cheap white spray paint, and it gives it the frosted look. I bet the same would apply to acrylic.

I put up 5 mm plastic with staples and strapping wood held up with finishing nails, but in the first wind-storm most of it came down. Would tarps work better? I can't afford to do it in properly with lattice and plywood right now, although that is my ultimate goal. Also I am alone here with my baby, my husband is a long-hauler and I need to be able to do this myself. I can operate a nail gun, a skil-saw, a staplegun. Please advise!
- hmm. that's what we do at my house for winter and it's never failed us yet. Maybe you have too much space between the staples or they're too close to the edge? Another idea is you could nail them down by hand and bend the nail to cover a longer area of the plastic

- Go have a look at fake panelling. the stuff with printed wood grain on it. If you turn it over, the back of it is usually ribbon cut mahogany. I did a cabin interior with it and finished the joints with stained pine lath and it looks like.......expensive!
