- Q: I want to lay a sheet of plastic on the ground before planting cantaloupe. Does it work?
- I lay down 6 mil black plastic use garden staples to pin it down cut holes for the seeds and scatter Straw over the plastic to cushion the melons. It keeps the weed out really good. Don't use hay because it has too many grass seeds it. I do my watermelon the same way.
- Q: What happens if a clear lenticular (autostereoscopic) sheet is cut to size and placed over a 26 hdtv screen? Is there any type of 3D effect? (These type sheets are commonly used on greeting cards/trading cards/wall posters for a 3D-depth effect.) Thanks
- It wouldn't work as the picture underneath needs be printed in a special way too.

- I built my green house 10 years ago with plastic sheeting I purchased from a huge gardening store it's still up today.I fixed the plastic to the studs cross brasses with strips of thin timber to hold it in place, as just using nails would tend to pull out in the wind.. Use your indiscretion when considering what thickness to use also talk with the person selling the product as they would have a better knowledge than us! Cheers!!

- If you want the look of clear plastic, most home improvement stores sell plexi glass in many thicknesses. I would also look into glass tabletop covers as they will be less likely to scratch over the long term and can be purchased at andy glass specialty shop and hobby lobby even carries an assortment of glass table tops.....the backside of the glass can be painted to any hue you want using glass paints from a craft store! Just be sure to put a clear finish on to protect it if you do!

- it's just a moisture barrier. ya! be fine. duct tape to mount iffin you don't have the putty. which you can get a roll of at any auto parts store. re-speakers? the barrier does nothing. nothing short of it's own little enclosure will help those. and that's not always possible. -------- speakers are no better than their enclosures. w/o one, or wrong type, might as well hang it in mid air. but don't let that stop you. it's commonly done in doors. just sayin. i have, if the door skin is close to the magnet, afixed/glued 1/8 thick section of press board to the door skin. as much as it can, cuts down on the influence the door skin *may* have on the magnet.
- Q: In my 8th grade art class my teacher had us do a project that involved contrast. We had to use this type of paper and cut out parts of the white so that the black would show through and there would be contrast between the full white and full black areas. I can't remember the name of it and would like to get some for hobby purposes. It was a black sheet of something that was sort of plastic-like and was somewhat reflexive. Then directly on top of that was a sheet of normal paper stuck to the black sheet. If anyone could tell me the name of this paper that would be great. Also if there are any common stores that I could get it at. Maybe Michaels?
