- Q: i want to take out my yugioh cards but im afraid i dont want them to lose their color they are all in sheets and im inside my house but the sun is coming from the windows so will they lose color? thanks 5 star automatic
- Don't place them near windows or take them out into direct sunlight. Make sure the sheets you use to cover them are opaque because if light penetrates the sheet they will be discoloured. Put them in a cloth or cardboard cover. That always works. Good luck!
- Q: Are plastic needlepoint mesh sheets food grade?
- They are not RATED as food grade, but as with many plastics they can be used around food if washed and sanitized regularly. Examples: plastic bowls cutting boards plastic knife and fork handles etc., etc.
- Q: Is there a glue that can seal/bond 2 thin (about 30 microns or less) sheets of plastic together, the same EXACT way that they would seal/bond if the same 2 sheets were heat sealed? (kinda like those food vacuum sealers)
- I have the same problem. I have tried melting some of the plastic and pressing it between the sheets. This only seemed to melts the sheets also. I have used Gorrilla Glue, Silicone, Super Glue and Epoxy and have had no luck. Double sided tap sorta worked but it takes a ton of it. So far the best thing I have found is just using Duct tape. It's ugly and falls off in the heat of the summer but does work temporarily. I will definitely buy an iron and try that. That seems like the best idea yet. I did visit an adhessive manufacturers website and they say there is nothing invented yet that bonds sheeting together permanently. I find this hard to believe. I have used a vacumme sealer for freezer bags and it works wonderfully on really thin plastic but the thicker sheeting I need and it has no affect on that.
- Q: What are the load-bearing capabilities of plastic sheets?
- The load-bearing capabilities of plastic sheets vary depending on the type of plastic and its thickness. Generally, plastic sheets have lower load-bearing capacities compared to materials like steel or concrete. However, they can still support moderate loads and are often used in construction, packaging, and other applications where lightweight, flexible materials are needed. It is important to consider the specific plastic material and thickness when determining its load-bearing capabilities.
- Q: Pink fiberglass insulation comes either faced or unfaced. On DIY shows on TV, I almost always see people using unfaced insulation and putting a sheet of plastic visqueen over the studs, rather than using faced insulation and not needing visqueen. Which method is better?
- There is a new thought on this.Using vapor barrier in homes has been popular for the last 15 or so years. They have been making houses tighter and tighter, resulting in having to install air exchange units. Since a lot of these homes are now being remodeled and the drywall is being removed, they have discovered that the vapor barrier is causing mold growth. Moisture is being trapped between the drywall and he visqueen and the paper is a perfect area for mold. The industry is now suggesting not using vapor barrier, but if you have an older house that needs the protection, use the visqueen and a mold resistant drywall. Its really the paper on the back side of the drywall that is the problem.

- It must be fun to believe things that all evidence shows not to be true.
- Q: Can plastic sheets be recycled into new plastic products?
- Yes, plastic sheets can be recycled into new plastic products. Recycling facilities collect and process plastic sheets, breaking them down into small pieces or pellets. These pellets can then be melted and molded into new plastic products, reducing the need for virgin plastic materials and promoting sustainability.
- Q: the plastic should be plain without any writting at all.
- Hi: The Local hardware store sells Plexiglas Plastic sheet, However you could be use Poster-board or Cardboard for your templates instead of it ,It's cheaper and you use it to cut the stain glass better if you need it thicker than that, Then Layer it with identical pieces or use it to cut a thick piece of cardboard into the shape, Place it where you want it. Mark it with a felt tip marker. than you can start cutting it out where you want it and then use alcohol to clean the Felt tip marking's off ( use a wax marker to number the pieces) then start soldering or whatever to assemble it I hope this helps
- Q: Can plastic sheets be used for protective barriers in laboratories?
- Yes, plastic sheets can be used as protective barriers in laboratories. They can provide a physical barrier to protect against chemical splashes, airborne particles, and other potential hazards. Additionally, plastic sheets are often transparent, allowing for visibility and easy monitoring of activities within the laboratory.
- Q: Hi guys! I once saw a plastic sheet with milky color. When coveredagainst a dark background plate, one can write on it with an ink-lesspen. But when the pastic is taken off the background plate, the handwritingdisappears. Do you know what it is and where I can buy it?
- the front sheet is an opaque pvc over a dark blue card with blue wax over it. when you write on the pvc it presses the pvc onto the wax and the text appears, pulling the pvc away from the wax removes the image and resets the tablet.
