FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q:I have strip kitchen floor to sub floor. i am ready to install tiles. My question is: How to do the wet bed for laying ties later on.
I m assuming yo mean a mortar bed or a mud bed for tiles. You don t want to do this for later on as you say. You want to lay tiles soon after it s set so you don t ruin the mortar bed by walking on it. This isnt something you usually just do , it takes practice and a bit of experience and is hard work but worth it when done right. A wet bed is a base of cement that the tiles are installed as you go. Old fashion method rarely used anymore. Now a mud bed is used and then a thin set is used to adhere the tile down. If you want to do a mud bed e mail me through my avatar and I ll guide you through it. GL
Q:but, not all the same time b/c I can‘t afford it. which project should be done first? a friend told me it is better to replace the tiles first because the dust is not good for paint.paint vanities orreplace tiles orreplace the bathtub?
i would probably paint first, that way if you spill paint it doesnt ruin the new tile? or replace the tub and tile first then lay something over the entire floor before you paint and do the rest? hmmm sorry im of no help thats a tough one lol
Q:I have a couple of tiles that have fell off and need to be put back on, what type glue do you apply to make them stick. They fell off due to foundation problems which is now fixed.
Go to Home Depot or Lowes and ask the tile guys or gals there, they will be able to tell you exactly the right type of mud to use, a certain type of thinset designed to be water resistant and for use on vertical surfaces. You'll also need the right grout to finish the job. Let the 'sperts put the products in your hands, then grab a book or check a few DIY websites for how to clean the base wall and install the new tiles.
Q:I now want to match the tile and extend it into my living room and dining area. How would I go about finding the same tile?
start going to large tile places, bring a pic and see if they recognize it.
Q:I was told that you can use slate (indoor/outdoor flooring) tiles outside on walkway if you mortar them over a concrete walkway.Do they have to be mortared to a concrete walk or is there another way to place the tiles?Part 2. Can you use concrete you mix at home from a bag for laying a new small concrete walkway or do you have to order mixed concrete from a concrete supplier?
If what you're talking about is REAL slate milled into tile then it is the same as Field Stone, but far more brittle. Natural slate is extremely porous, and much like Plywood, it's a natural Laminate substance. Just a day or two ago I answered a similar Q. Certainly answer number one is valid in suggesting that TILE be secured with an even coat of Exterior mortar, in your case, allowing there will be no voids. You could even install the tile by pressing them down enough, to push the mortar up through the seams/joints, allowing then, that you don't have to grout. Smoothing the lines will be similar however. The problems with natural slate and the conditions it will endure would likely disappoint you if you mortar textured REAL slate onto a patio. Slate Flakes, Chips, Cracks, and absorbs water. If in fact these are manufactured slate tiles, they still will need an exterior grade sealant, and re-sealing on occasion. If they are natural slate/Field Stones, I personally would use tamped sand, or better, tamped, crushed limerock for the base. That won't be possible with manufatured TILE usually at 1/4 inch thick Plus or Minus. Depending on the size of the concrete walk, you may want to consider having a load delivered, or renting a mixer. To do any space with BAGS will be more costly, (given that a 60 - 80 lb. bag only covers approx. 1.5 CU. FT....then time consuming, and may in fact be a dissapointment. YES you can use premix, but if you order a load it will be mixed in the proper formula/ratios, from the supplier. Steven Wolf
Q:I thought that bathroom floor tiles were thicker than the bathroom wall tiles, is this right?
Yes but I would not recommend it. The bathrooms in the house we just bought have the same tile in the shower, walls and on the floor. The tiles are okay on the walls and in the shower but they are horrible on the floor. They are chipped , cracked and very tough to keep clean. Floors need a more durable tile.
Q:12x12 ceiling tile are loose and sagging
Hi okorder
Q:Why the new tiles are double? What material, so good?
Hello there. Now the tiles, the general sub-base material and fabric. The base material and the fabric are generally not the same. At the end of the material commonly known as the blank, the general use of materials, such as kaolin, river sand, according to a certain proportion of compatibility. Fabric in order to pursue different artistic effects, often in the general use of materials into the whole particles, semi-particles and other translucent materials and color materials. Although seemingly two layers, but the two materials are mixed before firing, after firing does not affect the overall quality. "Double effect" one can guarantee the surface of the different artistic effects, two can save production costs. Because the fabric which joined the translucent materials and colorants, the cost is high.
Q:The grout in my bathroom is cracking bad and i just had it installed a little over a year ago. I called a different tile guy to look at it and tell me why its cracking. So im trying to figure out who riped me off or whos trying to rip me off. this new tile guy said the grout is cracking because the other tile guy didnt pull the old vinyl up. I remember the other tile guy told me that the vinyl was my moisture barrier so i didnt need anything put on the floor other than the glue ( or whatever you call it) So this new tile guy is saying thats the reason why my grout is cracking because he needed to pull up the old vinyl and the grout would continue to crack until that was done. So that means i need my whole floor re-done with new tile.....so is this new tile guy telling me the truth. Can you install tile over vinyl?
The first guy totally B.S.ed you. Tile needs to be installed on concrete backer board that is glued and screwed to the sub-floor. Laying is directly on top of old vinyl is totally half ***-ed and will certainly cause problems down the road.
Q:How to effectively remove the glue marks on the tiles?
But depending on your degree of sticky, may be different time. If the conditional alcohol + eraser effect is very good .2, you can take a piece of vinegar covered with dry cloth, to cover the entire double-sided adhesive marks, until the double-sided adhesive stick After the stain is completely wet, you can use the ruler easily removed. 3, you can also use the heating method to double-sided adhesive glue softening: blowing with a hair dryer to soften the glue, when the double-sided adhesive adhesion becomes weak, you can easily remove. If there is a little traces, with the removal of nail polish to light water to wipe.
