- Q: Hey guys, I am currently trying to figure out how the hell to get images from my samsung t429 to my computer. Alright, they are downloaded images in my files folder. Not photos taken with my phone. I was hoping I could use a data cable to transfer the files over. Can I transfer those downloaded images using a usb data cable? Or is there another way. Thanks and remember this is the t429
- Yes, you can use a Data Cable for it. BUT the Data Cable used by the T429 is a unique one (unlike Motorola phones and some Nokia and SE ones that use microUSB Cables alike). So if you have a Data Cable already, you should connect it to your computer and wait until the computer recognizes your phone. It will install necessary drivers/software so the computer can recognize it. Then you will see a 'Removable Disk' icon on your My Computer and transfer files there. If you do not see that or have problems about your phone not being detected, you can find softwares that can help you on the Samsung Website.
- Q: i am trying to get my old cell phone pics on my coputer. I have located the usb adapter ,but it says nothing about pictures? I do not want to buy the wrong thing.
- normally yes. consult your manual.
- Q: I need to pass data to the phone without using the USB cable.
- Try email, attach the file in an email and send it to yourself and then open it in your phone :D
- Q: I have yellow belkin data transfer cable and I want to transfer information from my xp to my vista, but when I plug it in it doesn't do anything, am I missing some sort of program? Can anyone help me? It's an ethernet plug if tht helps
- Just give them to me if they dont work ill be happy
- Q: I need to connect two laptops with a communications cable to transfer data between them. I had backed up all the data one from one computer to the other, by linking them them with a communications cable (i don't know if it is a croosover cable or anything). It had worked, and i had copied data by browsing the computer through the other one. But know i can't figure out which ip address i had given each and blablabla. I need to connect them successfully and transfer data. THe computers both have xp, one has home edition, other professional. please help.
- Go into your Network Connections folder. Click on Setup a new Connection and the New Connection Wizard will appear. On the first page you are asked what you wish to do, select the option of an advanced connection. Follow the pages and ensure that the Workgroup is the same for each system, and that the computer names are different. Do the same on the second computer and you will soon have a connection between the two computers where you can share data and printers if you wish to do that too. It is all very simple and easy to do when you use the Wizard. You will eventually come to a page which asks if it is a virtual private network, select no. The next page asks who will be able to connect to the computer, select the account you wish to use on the other computer for file transfers. Finish up will each page it is pretty self explanatory. You can delete this connection at any time. Just right click on the connection in the Network Connections folder and select the option to delete the connection. You may need to disable the connection first. If the delete option is grayed out, select disable, then right click again and now select delete. Good luck and much success in getting your two systems communicating with each other. It is really not difficult, as you can create as many network connections as you like. It is a good idea to name each connection a descriptive name in order to easily tell which is which at a glance.
- Q: I have a 2WIRE DSL Modem, its data cable too short , I want to change a long one, but I can't find where to buy it . The cable between the modem and the wall, there is a sticker wrapped around it that says data cable as well and has 6001-000110-000 on it. Please tell me what and where I can buy this one . Thanks
- That's just a telephone cable. Believe it or not, phones used to be tethered to the wall with a cable. There was no such things as cell phones.
- Q: I connect my two computers using Type A to Type A USB cable, but I don't see anything differentA man said to me that that cable is useless, and that I need a bridged cableI am confusedPlease help me!Thank you!
- If you go to circuit city or best buy and tell them you need a crossover cable (aka a bridge cable which basically looks like an ethernet cable but it's not a standard ethernet cable) they could point you to what you need. They're pretty cheap usually, about 10 or 15 dollars. To do it the way you're talking about, you would need to buy some software that's WAY too expensive just for what you're trying to do. Your best bet would be to just go to the store and ask for a crossover cable. Cheaper and alot easier.
- Q: i know that the backbone of cable networks cary alot of user information through the network. In that case, could anyone , perhaps a hacker listen in on that line an collect user information?
- The data is encrypted to prevent one from eavesdropping on their neighbours traffic, but it doesn't prevent one from observing it's existence. Prior to DOCSIS 3.0 published in 2006 the encryption is the rather weak DES, which can broken in about one day with a $10000 (2006 prices, cheaper today) machine.
- Q: i have downloaded the nokia pc suit but this is not detecting the nokia 6030
- even i encounter the same oroblem. no the problem is not with the phone, its with the computers usb drives. if your computer is an assembled one, then there are chances that the usb drives are not installed properly. do 1 thing, go to a cyber cafe or a friends place who has a computer and try accesing it there. windows xp detects the usb immediately. so wither you do the above, or call your vendor and ask him to install the usb drives.
- Q: I recently began to have an issue with my Compaq Presario 5108US where it would not boot at all. I began to take the computer apart piece by piece and found that the hard drive/cd-rom/dvd all work but only if just the power cable is plugged into them. If the data and power cables are plugged into them the drives refuse to work. Am I wrong for thinking that my motherboard or cpu is bad?
- What does refuse to work mean? And when you say 'fails to boot', I assume the computer still powers up. If you think the computer works better when you don't have the data cables in, why wouldn't the booting problem be your hard drive?
