Q: I was wondering how to make a simple slip cover for a regular metal folding chair.: For the back of the chair, try a pillowcase on it and see how it fits. What tucks do you have to make? Then try it on the seat. What type cover did you want? A full cover so you don't see the legs? You did not say. I would cut up a sheet, in fact you could use sheets if you do not want to invest in upholstery type fabric. They are washable too. Try a piece on the seat, let it hang to the floor in front, and extend up over the back of the chair until it reaches the floor below. Then you could sew the two backs together till it comes to the seat, stop there. Then you need to sew a piece to each side down to the floor. Then sew up the corners. Hem the bottoms and put a bow or Velcro fastener to the back of the seat corner, or pin it and then sew it, but you have to leave a little room so you can slip it on and off.

Q: we have these leather chairs in my kitchen and my cat always jumps on the back of this one to get on top of our water cooler cause she likes it up there or whateveranyone know what i could do to like make her stop, cause i have a pillow case over it right now, but that defeats the purpose of having a nice leather chair: Teaching a cat not to scratch or jump on the kitchen counter is different from trying to teach a cat not to use something as a stepping stool to get from point A to point B. Anything you do will defeat the purpose unless you teach the cat to not get on the water cooler OR provide the cat with something else to step on. Cats generally know and understand when they are doing something wrong because they will do it on purpose if you are in the room. Like if a cat knows they are not allowed to scratch on the rug, they will act like they are going to do it just so you will come and pay attention to them (our cats do this all the time). You can do a spray bottle to keep the cat from jumping on the cooler since you do not want to put anything on your nice chairs. Spray bottles with water work remarkably well because most cats hate it. We also use an air can duster and puff it into the air because the noise scares them. We had a cat that was jumping on our antique piano as a means of getting onto the built in book shelf that had nothing on it. After the spray bottle worked at getting her off the piano, she decided to just use the front of the book case as a set of stairs to get to the top shelf - which was a disaster. We had to spray bottle for like a whole month to rid the cat of both the piano and the shelf. We also got her her own little shelf in the window so she would not try to get up there anymore.

It has to be neutral and easy to store away, because my sister in law and my younger brother also have a 9 month old son, and they want to use it for him when he's ready for potty training.: I got my daughter a 3 in 1 potty chair. The training potty, the big potty seat cover w/ handles, and stool. She's 3 1/2 now and is only using the stool part of it. But the 3 in 1s I think work better, because of the chance that child will want to use the big potty like mommy and daddy, and the chance that they might not like the feel of the seat cover. But the stool is Always handy. The one I got was the Winnie-the-Pooh 3 in 1 that makes flashing sounds and says great job, way to go when she pushes the handel down. It was only $20, but now I think it costs more.

Unscrew the bottom of the chair from the metal slats on the bottom of the seat. When you have the seat off wrap a thick square of plastic over the fabric side. making a bed fold the ends over on the bottom. Staple the plastic to the bottom then put it back on the whole chair.

My daughter works for one and she massages all ages, from kids to the elderly. Chair massages are relaxing to a point, but laying on a table getting a massage is the most effective. Plus then it does the lower part of your body too.
