- Q:I hear some people say that the dirt bedding burns the hamster eyes and even them getting virus form it. I got my dirt bedding from the pet store and added in bathing sand with chipped walnuts. Its not really soil and its really loose and easy for the hamster to burrow. I just got my pair of hamsters and would like to know if these dirt are harming my hamsters so i can change them earlier.
- I've never heard of using dirt bedding, but I have heard of cedar bedding. Cedar bedding keeps them smelling fresh/good and absorbs urine. It also helps prevent parasites The cage should be cleaned about once a week. Cedar Bed shavings can be bought at Wal-Mart. get the size/type for dogs. The hamsters use their teeth to break the shavings down to to size they like, and in doing so keeps their teeth from growing too long and killing them, or having to be cut shorter. A large bag costs under ten dollars at Wal-Mart and can fill one cage multiple times. So I highly recommend using Cedar Shavings.
- Q:I found 5 of these on my bed.. but they didn't really run away. I was laying in bed on my computer. And found two. Then I called my grandma and we looked and found 3 more. The last one sort of flew a little. It was like a weak fly like 2 inches above the surface of the bed and 3 inches around. Then I found these stains on the corner of the bed. It could be paint, or dirt or ink from a pen. - Q:I have found a couple cute crib bedding sets, cheap too. I'm undecided if I want to buy a set or buy individual pieces? I can get everything in a set for cheaper and everything will match. But, the comforter will just be decoration since it's so heavy and I'm leaning towards getting breathable bumpers instead of the thick padded ones. The skirt ruffle isn't important either. If I buy individual pieces, I want them to match. What did you do for your little one?
- I purchased some sheets and fabric to make an adjustable crib skirt. I may buy a breathable bumper if I ever experience the problem with my LO getting his arms stuck. I'm on a budget (aren't we all) I couldn't fathom spending so much money on a bedding set. Can't use the comforter, not supposed to use the bumpers and the crib skirts are always so short. I plan on storing stuff under the crib and want to hide what's down there. I didn't see the point.
- Q:ok I still have not seen them but everytime I wake up in the morning there is new bites but they are not moskitos bites, these bites will look like moskitos bites then they will turn really really pink or red then its like 5 to 8 bites next to eachother. that was on my arm. I have like 3 or 4 around my waist line. like my arm bites was 2 weeks ago and yesterday I got my waist and my brother also yesterday got 7 bites but they are not red and its like in a straight line. I don't find anything on the mattress and we live in NYC BK and moskitos??? hardly and im Hispanic I been to Dominican republic I know how moskitos bites look like and feels like and I know its not it. can it be bedbiugs??? and how can I find out for sureeeeeeeeeee its bed bug like boom it is or its not I cant no little sacks or black dust looking thing so please HELP!
- Unfortunately it's bed bugs. If anyone in your apartment building has them, they travel. You know bed bugs because their bites are close together and a pinkish red and in a line. Please toss your mattress/bedding. Put bed bug powder all around your base boards. Remember to also buy your mattress from a reputable dealer. Toss your pillows EVERYTHING soft. You hardly ever SEE bed bugs, but they leave behind their waste little tiny black/brown specs. So sorry to tell you the bad new, but you must toss those items. The fact that someone in another room has them, means the bed bugs have already spread. Also wash any and every pile of clothes.
- Q:I recently found out I had bed bugs in my home so i took a shower and washed my body really good. didn't take any belongings with me out of my home with me and just left my house. So now I'm staying with my dad is the bugs still on my body? Did I get rid of them?
- If your clothes were clean when you put them on after your shower, you should be OK.
