LVF mechanism
With three mechanisms (25, 33 and 50 LVF Optima), the MDT City Cranes
are capable of high working speeds through optimising speed in accordance with
the load hoisted, allowing for gains in productivity.
• For the first increments (approach speed, sling tension, etc.) hoisting of the load
is controlled by the safety device (Dynamometric Ring).
• For working speeds, the Optima system adapts the speed in accordance with the
load hoisted. This enables full power of the engine to always be used for optimum
productivity.
The LVF Optima provides a gain of around 25% in lowering speed. For the technician there is a maintenance aid with display + keyboard incorporated
into the frequency convertor (providing auto-diagnostics, display of operating
parameters, defects, etc...).
The hoisting winch is factory pre-assembled.

 

RVF mechanism
The RVF Optima + slewing enables smooth movements.
Fully integrated progressive control.
Driving adapts to the behavior of the crane operator:
• Traditional driving thanks to action controlled
by stopping of the command. The slow-down phase
of the jib is managed by the frequency variator in this
case.
• Or by reverse command in the slow down phase called 
a “counter-slewing” command.
As a result, the crane operator can control stoppage
of the movement.

Q:Breifly explain the brake system in the lifting devices ex. Over head crane?
Cranes work using hydraulics and cables. The cables are wrapped around pulleys and the pulley is turned using hydraulic power. The brake system is simply stopping the pulley from turning by reducing power. The hydraulic system typically will turn a series of gears which in turn spins the pulley that the cable is wrapped around. It's different than a brake system say on a car where when you hit the brakes, pads squeeze on the interior of the wheel rim slowing it down. Cranes you just reduce power and stop the pulley from turning. They also have emergency stops. Older cranes have wedges that would be released onto the cable and then the wedges would grab the cable and slip into a ring. The narrow end of the wedges would slip into the ring first and then as the wedges increased in diameter the grip on the cable would get tighter and then stop the cable from moving. They also have systems on the pulleys to stop the pulley from spinning. They essentially work the same way as a car break. When the emergency brake is triggered, pads will squeeze on the rim of the pulley to stop it. These mechanisms work by friction. They could also have holes around the pulley and a steel pin would be pushed into one of the holes to stop it from spinning. Of course if the force of the weight exceeded the strength of the pin, it would shear.

These are dangerous peices of equipment, they endure high stress and are at times pushed to the physical limits. I have on occassion worked with and under them and always had a lot of respect and always felt safer when away from them. Construction cranes in particular are more dangerous because they are forever changing in height,position, amount and type of load. Cranes in permanent installations are ususlly carrying same or similar loads. Construction sites are hazardous due to many factors but just about everything on site gets handled by the crane at one time or another. Inspection,inspection, and re-inspection with concurrent correction/adjustment are the only preventative measure availble beside the assurance of competency of the operator. There are plenty of laws about them already but this is not to say new ones might be justified as new hazards become apparent. Most terrorists are too dumb or lazy to get involved with cranes--why bother when so many easy targets are out there !!!!!!!!

I don't think so, not if it is taught as a complete system, then it should offer more than just tiger/crane form.

Found the answer!:) By that point, if you did everything right you should have 8 blue minions. Put 6 of them on the crane and 2 of them(with a guard marker) in the middle where you ar gonna drop the ones from above. Then when you drop them, the ones guarding will pick them up and heal them.:) P.S.A tip, if you want the crane to come back slower don't remove all the minions from it, just remove 2 and the rest will slow it down.
