Better Business might not have much pull with the company. How did Frank pay for the item(s)? If it was on a credit card, ask him to call the card issuer and see what can be done to contest or stop the payment. Did XYZ give him a warranty? If so what were the conditions on the warranty? Also, consider that the machinery was damaged in transport. If he handled the transporting himself, your friend is out of luck. If the XYZ Co. choose the delivery service, then they need to work out the problem with the delivery service. What kind of machinery are we talking about? Vehicles might fall under your local Lemon Laws. Has Frank tried taking the machinery to a local repair shop? If for no other reason than to figure out how much the repairs would be to make the item(s) work properly. This would be the figure he has the best chance of being awarded.

Q:Last night I had a scary dream that someone broke into my house and was right outside my bedroom door. In my dream I grabbed my gun out of the nightstand. I had no problem getting the clip in, but when I tried to pull back on it to load a round into the chamber I had a very difficult time and I had to press the butt of the gun against my body so that I could use two hands to cock it back. At that point I knew immediatly I was in a dream and woke up. I always struggle with using firearms in my dreams and I have even pulled the trigger before and nothing happens.This is the same with driving cars. If I get into my car and attempt to drive in a dream I just can't do it. I can't control the vehicle for some reason. It will roll backwards or stall out. if your pregnant, you shouldn't. you are most likely going to become tired and lifting heavy machinery while being tired is a horrible idea.

What do you recommend to start getting this beast clean, so I can work on it without getting really, really dirty? Is there a spray or should I use something like ...WD-40? How about the chemical RESTORE they show on the $19.95 TV Ads??? Used to restore the faded paint on a car or clean the headlight lens from oxidation??

There are degreaser products, but those are fairly aggressive and intended for really gummy congealed lubricant removal. WD-40, while less aggressive, is still a pretty good solvent as well as a light lubricant. If you need a lot of it, they sell it in 1 gallon cans (and probably larger sizes for industrial use), and they have pump sprayers to use with that size. I think a product for use on headlights or faded paint would be more of a polish than a degreaser, so that would not be appropriate unless you're trying to clean up a plastic viewing window or some such plastic guard, shield, etc.
