It's ok. As an MR, your job is to become proficient in the operation of heavy machinery and damage control equipment. Specifically, you will become skilled in working a lathe and die set to manufacture small parts and things for the ship (and you will be stationed on ship-MR is a sea-intensive rate). You also will make a lot of name tags and Bakelite placards, since you own the engraving machine. With the caveat that my experience is all small boy (FF/DDGs), here are the pros/cons of the job. Pros-learn really technical skills that can come in handy throughout life. Work with your hands. People want to be friends with you so you can hook them up with placards. Usually one of only a few on a ship-you as one man (or woman) can make a lot of difference. Cons-Work as part of Repair Department/Division, normally a pretty screwy, unorganized mess of a unit. Lots of knowledge-have to learn the DC/HT job as well. Especially on small boys, have to contribute to Engineering Department manning/watch, lots of work there. It's not a bad rate, but it is a lot of work, like everything else in the Navy.

I am not aware of a title for this type equipment. Normally you keep a copy of the machines serial numbers and bill of sale.

Hello,Yes you should have no problem getting rid of it. Just advertise it on craigslist or even better, just respond to an add that people put up wanting to remove old cars for free. There are tons of listings in there for stuff like that now. Recycling prices are getting high. Even for shred metel { which is probably what you have} the prices are around 6 to 7 bucks per hundred pounds. If you think you have several thousand pounds call around to the scrap metel places them selves and see if they will come and get it. You will get a portion of the money. Some scrap metel places are now doing the pickup deal, and even bringing 40 yard dumpsters for people to load up. It really depends on the estimated weight as to what I would do. I would even consider a roll back to come and split the money with me. Ok , I just been rambelng along here, sorry. Anyway, I hope I helped some. btw- I just cleaned up the back yard where I recently moved into. Old lawnmowers and just a bunch of junk, took it down to the recycler and got $75. I've had a lot of luck with the elliptical machine. If you can increase your time to 45 minutes, even better.

Strip mining? underground mining: drift or shaft? Horizontal seams or vertical seams? The nature of the coal deposit is a major factor. As is host nation mining laws, carbon content, seam height etc. I would need more data to give you a comprehensive answer as there are many types of coal mining operations. It was done for years with a pick axe and bucket--someplaces it still is. Today where long wall mining is the most efficient. Some are using robots to go back over coal mined 100 years ago to remove gangue/non coal content.

I am not one of those people that post random fitness sites or whatever else they post on here, but just to let you know whats worked for me is on Youtube, this guy Mike Chang does a bunch of awesome home workout videos that help a lot in fat burning.
