- The major ingredient in Raid after the toxins is a very light mineral oil - Stoddard Solvent, to be precise, exactly the same material as WD-40. The other ingredients are either volatile propellants or tiny fractions by weight. You may remove it with any mild detergent - dish soap in warm water for your walls and a micro-fiber compatible upholstery cleaner for your couch. Any residual materials will eventually evaporate but that may take several days. Further, the mineral oil will attract dust and act as a solvent for it with the potential for permanent staining if you do not deal with it immediately. I strongly suggest that you invest in a kit proper to the material on your couch. On the tag it will be marked with W, S, or W/S which tell you whether compatible cleaners are water or solvent based or either. You will be able to use it more than once. Next time use a fly-swatter or a plant mister. Both work just fine.
