I need help on a science project!!!!!I need physical properties and chemical properties of the following items:Platinum gamecubeRound Dove SoapBlack ceramic coffee mugbookAluminum poker set
Platinum gamecube? As in the electronic game console? The chemical properties are too extensive to listIt is a composite mixture of various chemicals and elements including plastics, lead, iron, tin, tantalum, silver, gold, platinum, cobalt, silicon, carbonAll the electronic components themselves contain a wide variety of chemical compoundsRound Dove soap is round because the marketing department determined it is a more appealing shape than a cube or a rectangle, the curve also fits better in the handThe soap itself is a mixture hydrophilic compounds, fragrances, and binders which lowers surface tension of water and solvates various soilsBlack ceramic coffee mug contains paints and clays - is it ceramic or porcelain? Black means it will absorb lightCeramic means it will be attacked by strong acids, but it probably has a glaze to protect itA book is mostly cellulose fiber, unless it is vellum (unlikely)Also included are the inks which are probably an azo- compound, and the binding glue which is most likely a protein for older books or a polyacrylate or polymerized silicone adhesive for modern binding agentsAluminum poker set, being aluminum would be readily corroded by alkaline compoundsIf by poker you mean gambling, physical propertys would be, what, round chips? if by poker you mean something sharp and pointy, then there are your physical properties right there Physical properties of any of these would be things such as mass, color, shape, volume, density, texture, etcChemical properties depends on what they are made of.
A science-fair radio uses a homemade capacitor made of two 50 cm X 50 sheets of aluminum foil separated by a 0.20-mm-thick sheet of paperAssume dielectric constant of paper is 3.0.What is its capacitance?
C 50 x (er x eo x A)/d Where 50 is the number of sheets A 0.5m x 0.5m 0.25 m^2 d 0.2mm 2 x 10-4m C 50 (3 x 8.85 x 10^-12 x 0.25)/2 x 10^-4 C 1.66uF
My wife and I got married in HonoluluI am avid amateur cook and I simply fell in love with Hawaiian cuisineWe stayed at the Turtle bay resort and we were eating at the Surfer bar in the resort one night and I ordered a cheeseburger but I had not noticed that it said on Taro bunsI took a bite and it was delicious and then I noticed that the bread was purpleI asked the waitress but all she could tell me is that it was taro breadNow I know that food coloring is used to get a deeper purpleMy question is, does anyone know the recipe for taro hamburger buns, taro rolls, or taro sandwhich bread that is not filled with poi?
UM GET A WET TO DRY STRAIGHTENER.STRAIGHTEN IT WHILE IT'S WET!!!
The life of a working mom.lol! But the question got me thinkingWhat do you think? Or know? Would sunscreen on silver prevent tarnish? And no, he does not have permission to test the theory on my silverware.
SureLet him try itThat's what science is all aboutBut consider the attention span of a 9-year-oldThis will be a long-term experimentIt takes a while for silver to tarnishYou will need a control, a piece of silverware that is uncoatedAlso be aware that sunlight has little (if anything) to do with silver tarnishing since it is usually away from the sun and UV sources Silver tarnish is silver sulfide, Ag2SThe silver (Ag) combines with sulfur from the air or from the hands of the usersOf course, you wouldn't want to use a sunscreen that contains sulfur, if one should existSomething that has much more immediate results is the removal of silver tarnish using aluminum foilDissolve some table salt in a plastic tub of hot waterCut some aluminum foil so that it will cover the silverware and place it in the tubPlace the silverware on top of the aluminum foil and wrap the aluminum foil around it while in the tub of hot waterWait a whileWhen you unwrap the silverware the aluminum foil will be black and the silverware will be tarnish freeDry and polish the silverwareThe sulfur was transferred from the silver to the aluminum This reaction won't happen if the salt is absentDon't use baking sodaThat won't helpThe reason is that aluminum forms a thin layer of aluminum oxide on the surface (Al2O3)The presence of chloride ion from the salt breaks down the oxide coating producing the complex ion [AlCl4]^- and allows the underlying aluminum metal to react with the silver tarnish2Al(s) + 3Ag2S(s) - Al2S3(s) + 6Ag(s) Just some Saturday afternoon fun with chemistry.
I want to make an apple pie but would like a recipe for one with cheddar in it Do you have that recipe?
Yes, I don't see what the point would be when you could use a .22lr or something of the sort, but go for itDon't count on being able to use much of the rabbit.
I lost my favorite recipe card for the chicken alfredo does anyone have it? And no I do not want a copycat recipe, I have searched allover and cannot find a recipe that has similar baking instructionsIf anyone has this recipe please let me knowthanks
yea dude its not good for you, makes the weed taste wierd tooFoil bowls arent that bad but tinnies (cans) are grossYour better off smoking a J or just investing in a small bowl, if you dont want that though you can make Grav bongs, or other water bongs pretty easily
i live in a 36 unit 1949 condo conversion with 2 to 3 radiant heaters per unit depending on number of bedroomsi have a one bedroom with one heater in the living room and one i the bedroomfor the last 7 yrs or so, because i felt it too hot there, i've had the heater insulated with that shiny bubble wrap that is flame retardantmy wife now says it's too cold in there and leaves me in there to fend for myself! i've bleed the system of air, which there was a bit and now all that comes out is very hot waterthe aluminum fins do get hot when i bleed the water out but cool down after a few minutes.both the inlet and outlet pipes stay hot but the fins cool downovernight even the pipes became coldi've tried tapping on both pipes to loosen any blockage and am wondering if there is anything else i could or should do.thanks.

How to eliminate static in aliminum foil bag?
Aluminum foil bag can protect electrostatic sensitive components from electrostatic potential hazards to the highest degree. They unique four-layer structure can form an inductive cover to make things in bags isolate from static electric field. Furthermore, the inner layer is made low density polyethylene which can remove the static can avoid static generation inside the bag. This kind of hot sealable bag is translucence , so the good inside can be easily recognized outside and the product bar code can be read. It's mainly used in package of electronic elements and PC board. It can also be used in packaging industry.
