- If this is a grid ceiling with tiles that just push up. Blown was not a good idea. Plus even though this blown insulation is rather light weight - over time it will cause your ceiling tiles to sag. What is happening is your room is so air tight that when you shut the door you are creating enough air pressure that one or more of the ceiling tiles is pushing up just enough to allow some of the insulation to fall out of the ceiling around this tile. Try shutting the door slowly or cracking a window just a bit to ease the air pressure when you close your door.

- If you want to do the beer signs and whatever else you will need something to screw them to that will hold them up. I suggest some plywood might suit your needs, specifically T1-11 for its texture and durability and resistance to moisture (1/2.) The texture says different by itself. It can also hold paint or be stained as if outdoors (where it is often used as a siding.) The durability and strength are needed to suspend whatever you hang to it. It will also fill in the space between the signs. This will give you the varied texture look you are considering. As for moisture even though you may not get any from the concrete walls you still need to worry about spills from above. Since T1-11 is made for exterior use it will be an advantage for your use.

There are caps at the end of the wires so I am assuming (love assuming) that I can attach the wires from the light to these wires and recap. Then I need to ground the cooper wire, but what is a good ground? It is a drop ceiling so can I attach to the grid or wires holding the drop ceiling? Of course the electric will be off! I am wondering is it possible to cross the two wires and have a big boo boo happen? I appreciate the input. I am really needing to get this completed shortly so please anyone with some expertise respond!
- Ignore Andrew. He has dangerous misinformation. First off, the hot and neutral are not interchangeable. If you don't have white and black, there are other ways of identifying them. The white is neutral, which can also be indicated by ridges on that side (for lamp cord style wire). There are also less common ways, but the bottom line is they are not interchangeable. For the ground, no the ceiling grid is not a ground. If you are in an older house, you may not have a ground available. The best thing then would be to use a fixture that doesn't need one, if you can find one.
