Q:how many watts does a vacuum normally use?
If you mean a vacuum cleaner, it depends on model and manufacturer. I would doubt that most domestic ones use more than 750 watts, though. But there should be a nameplate with that information on it. Now, industrial vacuum cleaners can be a bit bigger and use more power - like hundreds of horsepower.
Q:Professional House Cleaners only please suggest a vacuum?
My professional cleaner (a 20-year pro) uses whatever vacuum her clients own. If they don't own one, she charges extra for the hassle of hauling the vacuum around.
Q:What's the difference between vacuum and centrifugal dust collection?
In the current vacuum cleaner market, traditional vacuum cleaners and centrifugal vacuum cleaners all occupy a certain market
Q:Kirby Sentria vacuum cleaners?
Take it back!!! Kirbys are cumbersome and not worth the money paid for them! I'm stuck with mine and always dread vacuuming!!!
Q:What is a good hand vacuum?
Hand okorder.com/
Q:Why are diesel locomotives noisy?
power makes noise. sure, the noise could be muffled better -- which would reduce power output and require more engines burning more fuel to move the same total load. why don't locomotives use less noisy engines? effectively the only less noisy engine is third rail electric. [gas turbines can't be used -- the gas is explosive in ordinary air and thus huge hazard in derailment or other accident.] third rail electric is very expensive of installation cost -- so much so that it is impractical [too expensive] for all but the most frequently used trackage.
Q:why are lights on vacuum cleaners
I think its so you can see when u r cleaning places with little light such as closets with no light and under tables and couches and stuff
Q:What's a better choice? Upright or canister vacuum cleaner?
I agree with Scorpio, a canister is more convenient for multiple floor types as well as dusting walls, window sills, stair banisters, books, etc. Actually I have both, I like the upright for just carpets; easy to maneuver and store. But when it's time for serious cleaning, out comes the canister.
Q:I need to buy a new vacuum cleaner - is the Dyson really as good they say?
Oh gosh -- my sister has one, and I ask to borrow it whenever I can. I have a really good vacuum, too, but her Dyson has stuff I really like -- for example, the hose and attachments are right there and you don't have to stop vacuuming to hook anything up if you want to clean the baseboards or edges of furniture. Also, it really does move easily and can get under and around stuff than my vacuum can't. One idea, though, to save you some money -- my sister got hers almost brand new off of Craigslist for less than half of what the new one would be, and the warranty papers and all of that stuff was there just in case. She hasn't had any problems though.
Q:Okay, friends, a question about vacuums?
Well, I've had a Kirby since 1979 and it's still going strong. I've always had cats and dogs and whatever other critters in the house. They're expensive - I think I paid close to $500 when I bought it with all the attachments - rug shampooer, carpet cleaner, etc - but considering I've had it over 30 years, I've gotten my money's worth. I've only had to replace the belt twice. I think they cost about $6 last time I bought one.
