The okorder /... Beware of eBay deals unless you know what you're buying. To start, you should get a 10-string single neck with 3 pedals and 4 levers. Some of the student models don't have as many levers and aren't capable of all the changes you need. Stay away from the ShoBud Maverick...you'll outgrow it in a couple of months. Often it makes more sense to buy a used professional model...you'll eventually need one, and they hold their value better than a student model. You'll also need a volume pedal, bar, thumb and finger picks. For now, your guitar amp will be ok. Playing the guitar: There are several tunings and lots of different combinations of levers, but the basic guitar is a 10 string E9 tuning. It's almost an open E but with a few extra notes. The pedals and levers raise and lower the pitch of selected strings. Chord changes are made by moving the bar and pressing pedals and levers. The volume pedal helps you swell and sustain notes. Q:Maybe it is obvious. But i have thought alot about it.I thought steel at a cool temperature was unbreakable. I am not one for science or physics or engineering (i am a political science major). But i don't understand why the planes that struck the world trade center on 9-11 didn't just dent the side and fall,How did the place break the steel? Was it the velocity? Yes, steel coils can be stored vertically.
Q:Is steel easier to weld?Which is more brittle/less flexible?
I can't weld steel to aluminum, and generally speaking I'd say the answer is no, however, there are some special procedures that can make a metallic bond between steel and aluminum, it can be done with explosive welding. A lot of multi-ply cookware is made with aluminum sandwiched between stainless steel, there is so much of it that I imagine there is another way besides explosives, but I don't know what. In any case it is not a normal workshop procedure. Steel is often considerably easier to weld, but it depends on the alloy. some steels are difficult to weld and some aluminum alloys are fairly easy, but on the average steel is easier. as far as brittle/ flexible it again depend on the alloy, some steels are less brittle than some aluminum alloys and the other way around. Steel does have a higher modulus of elasticity, so for a given size steel is stiffer, but that is for elastic deformation, for plastic deformation steel often has a higher yield strength, but some of the more exotic aluminum alloys can be stronger than low grades of steel.
Q:911 conspiacy theorists. Can fire melt steel?
Don't know the differences in steel strength between the WTC towers and the bridge, but I'll tell you they don't always use the strongest steel in buildings. It is a question of value engineering. Engineers do as code requires, and make the determination based on economics of building. If a steel member requires say 48 KSI, with certain span, but if the price is less expensive to use 35 KSI and reduce the span by adding vertical elements then that is an option that the architects, engineers and developers consider. Like I said, don't much about bridge engineering, but in buildings, it isn't always the strongest steel, based on engineering and economics. And BTW, said time and time again, but ok one more time. STEEL DOESN'T NOT HAVE TO MELT FOR FAILURE. IT LOSES STRENGTH WITH HEAT. THAT IS WHY IT MUST BE PROTECTED BY FIRE RETARDANT. BUT IF THE FIRE RETARDANT IS REMOVED BY EXPLOSION, THEN FIRE CAN CAUSE FAILURE. Sorry for the shouting, but I'm not the only one who says that, but people keep saying steel can't melt, but it doesn't have to for failure. If the steel joist had been in concrete, the WTC towers may have stood, at least longer. But hindsight is 20/20.

yes a stainless steel 440 knife is really good my uncle bought one back in 1979 and has been having it without any problems the blade is still razor sharp even at 35 years old
