AFFF Pressure Extinguishers have water and a foam called AFFF in them. Dry Chemical Extinguishers have most of the time, either Monoammonium Phosphate or Potassium Phosphate in them Dry Powder Extinguishers (also known as Class D) are a variety of sands and salts and powerders with names such as met-l-x, Alu-X, Lith-X among others. CO2 Extinguishers have Carbon Dioxide in them Food Grade Extinguishers (Class K) have Sodium Bicarbonate Slurry or something similar that can be injested with little problems. Q:I recently bought a home with 6 smoke detectors. The alarm just went off (3 loud beeps) and then stopped. I waited for about 10 mins. and it went off again - and stopped. The silver one is a power type extinguishing agent. The red one is most likely a water or other fluid type. Cars have fluids that burn, ie gas, diesel and oils. If you try to use a fluid type extinguisher you would just spread the fire by spreading out the fluid. The power types are more exspensive and usually caustic and poisonous. You could use that to extinguish most types of fires, but the building manage prefers it for automotive fires and labeled it Cars Only.

I am assuinng they get to go to the shoppette later and the Drills do nto check their baskets off goodies out and during wall locker inspections they find a good place to hide th econtraband (their cell phoens and other thigns are already locked up) when I went ot basic they confiscated this stuff, but during one trip to the shoppete, I bought Ibuporphin and the Drill did not check my basket anymore (the doc. at the clinic was suppose to prscribe this to me) and a CD player (this was back in 1986) and so I hid thm good in my locker during inspections.

First, traditional soda-acid type fire extinguishers are banned from service because of their tendency to explode. The concept is simple, an acid solution (typically sulfuric acid) was mixed with an extinguisher of a water and sodium-bicarbonate solution (baking soda) which creates a large amount of carbon-dioxide gas, pressurizing the unit and expelling the water through the hose. (The acid was spilled from a container in the top of the vessel when the extinguisher was inverted.) However, if you want to make a model of that type of design you could rig something up with a plastic-two liter bottle. Mix water and baking soda and fill the two-liter about 2/3 full of the solution. Get some plastic 1/2 diameter tubing from a pet-supply store (like tubing used for aquariums) and insert the hose so the tube goes all the way to the bottom of the two liter bottle. Now this next part is best done outdoors. Pour a little bit of vinegar into the top of the two liter and use your thumb and finger to help secure the opening around the top of the bottle against the hose. Be prepared to get a little wet. True you aren't inverting the bottle, but the pressuring concept is the same. The pressure will push the water out of the hose if you can secure the top enough with your fingers. This approach should be fairly safe as you haven't closed off the unit completely. Just make sure to wear safey goggles. Have fun!

On the toner cartridge, I'm not sure how to explain it they usually have like a little tab that you can move back and forth the length of the cartridge to clean it. You can also try the cleaning procedure for your printer, 1 Power ON the Printer and allow the “READY” LED to light and stay lit. 2 Press and hold down on the Front Panel Key until all four LED’s on the Control Panel remain lit (NOT BLINKING) and the Printer begins to cycle up (STARTS TO FEED PAPER), then release pressure on key. The Printer will produce one page with Toner/Ink contamination and background. Once is usually sufficient to clean the Printer Cartridge, but heavy contamination may require that this procedure be repeated.
