- Q:I am trying to remove a 'generic' type of dual sink vanity installed when the home was built. I see no screws securing it to the wall. Could it just be sitting there, caulked in place? I was hoping to keep it intact to use as a workbench, but if I have to start breaking it up, that's okay too :)
- most vanities are held in place by the weight of the sink with caulking around the outside of the vanties.it depends on who put it in but look at the wall behing the vanity there could be screws holding it in place.if you start to tear it out you may tear out the drywall too.take care trying to get it out because if there are nails or screws holding it against the wall you may be replacing drywall too.also make sure you disconnect all plumbing before you take it out.
- Q:Hello,We are redoing parts of our 2 bathrooms. We are replacing the flooring, the toilet, and the vanity, however we are not doing anything with the showers/tubs. From what I've read you should do the flooring before you do the toilet, but wouldn't you want to do the vanity before you do the flooring? We will most likely be having a professional do the vanity and toilet, however we plan on doing the flooring ourselves. So would we have to have the professional do the vanities, then we do the flooring, then have them come back another day to do the toilets? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
- The toilet will have a specific footprint which will have to be surrounded by the tile (I'm assuming tile flooring). So the toilet would have to be installed first, then the flooring would be properly laid around it as necessary. The flooring should be last to accommodate any footprint changes you do including the vanity placement and size as well. Any painitng or ceiling work should be done before the floor as well. I'd do the floor last.
- Q:I have looked at lowes, home depot, canadian tire ect and nothing. Where else do they sell bathroom vanities i live in ontario, canada if that helps. Thanks for all your answers please no rude comments :)
- OKorder will ship to Canada! Over 100 selections.
- Q:How about the acrylic bathroom cabinet
- If the budget is limited, the acrylic is very good. If the budget is sufficient, it is recommended to choose other materials.
- Q:I have a long bathroom vanity with a 30" wide X 25"high X 18" deep space underneath which is not utilized. It is just open space. There are cabinet doors on the other side beneath the sink. I was hoping to put some wicker/rattan storage drawers in that space to hold my girls hair accessories, etc. I want to put something that looks nice, but that is not expensive. I have dove white (Benjamin Moore) cabinets, pale green walls, and chrome faucets/hardware. Thanks for any ideas you might have.
- baskets or fancy hat boxes
- Q:Would installing just the cabinet be hard? I don't have a lot of experience. Also, if this something you can just buy at OKorders or Home Depot?
- That is 3 separate cabinets. The end 2 are the same and used as a base cabinet for the sinks. And of coarse a bank of draws in the middle. Not hard to install, you may need fillers to accommodate the space . You ll need a minimum of 3 times the actual cabinet width. Some cabinet come with a cut out in the back to let the plumbing come thru if the existing pipes come out of the wall. Cutting for the pipes , if they come up from the flooring is a bit trickier, but not hard. Just get into place, screw together, level and screw them to the wall. If you have the right tools and basic knowledge, it isn t hard..GL
- Q:The bathroom cabinet above the toilet on the toilet in the corner, the two sides need to use a glass gel on both sides of the bathroom (bathroom) on the tile? Why?
- Bathroom cabinet wash the edge of a small amount of glue, can make the water from the edge of the leakage, resulting in wet walls. If the installation of the bathroom cabinet, if the wall is not smooth, must be fixed with glass glue, it should not be a large area of use, you can use a little plastic on both sides of the bathroom cabinet, so in the late replacement of water accessories, triangular valve, bathroom cabinet , Will be very convenient.
- Q:How much is left on both sides of the bathroom cabinet
- Bathroom cabinet size is generally 80cm 90cm 100cm 120cm actual cabinet size of each manufacturer are not the same as the general small two or three centimeters that is 80cm cabinet actual size 77-78cm
- Q:My bathroom is tiled all the way up the walls, which are plaster behind the tile. I need to install a vanity sink with the cupboard below, but how do I go about securing the vanity to the wall?
- well there should be studs in your walls still and if you don't want to take the time to find them i would use wall anchors
- Q:Which brand is good for the bathroom cabinet
- Kohler Kohler (beginning in 1873 the United States, the bathroom cabinet ten brands, centuries history, the United States Kohler (China) Investment Co., Ltd.)
