- I usually lay/sit on my bed while I'm playing, and now it's deforming my mattress. You either have something horribly wrong with your mattress or you spend waaaay to much time laying on it. The answer to your question is going to depend on several things. Size and layout of the room. Game console/TV or computer. Wireless controls or wired. If it's a console/TV setup how big is the TV and how high off the floor is it. If you have a computer, or a television that's 24 inches or more off the floor, it's best to get an ergonomic office chair with adjustable arm rests and lumbar support. If you have a game console/TV setup and it's close to the floor (no more than 18 inches off the floor), then you have several options. Personally I like a large overstuffed bean bag chair. It's easy to move, conforms to my body, and I can easily change positions. Gaming rockers can be really nice too if they are made right. Do a google search and you will find a huge selection. Last but not least, the good old reclining rocker you grampa uses should be really comfortable. But getting it to fit in your room could be an issue, especially if he's still sitting in it.

- The last ones I did I charged $65 each, labor and materials to make new plywood bases, cut and replace the foam core, and add new vinyl (Naugahyde @ $35 /yd). I was lucky enough to get 4 chairs out of one yard of material. A few inches larger and I would not have. Sure you could do it yourself, do you have a jig saw, disk sander, router, foam cutter and pneumatic stapler?
- Q:I hate this chair! There is only one control item--a lever, and I've never used it at all. Yet my chair is a different height every other week. This morning I found it so high, my feet don't touch the floor and I can't figure out how to lower it! I've moved the lever in and out and every which way, but the chair doesn't budge.
- Some old chairs adjusted just by screwing in and out of the central column. Since yours has a lever, this is probably not the case. If you have never used the lever, then we can't be certain what it does, but on most I have used, pulling up on the lever while seated should allow the chair to lower. Pulling up while off the chair should allow the chair to rise. Some I have seen also let you push or pull the lever to lock or allow the back to tilt some. If you have tried this, the pneumatic cylinder may be shot. Likely just need a new chair.

- Q:My friend and I have been informed by our lecturer that we need to make something out of concrete and we decided to make a chair. However we are unsure of how to attach the legs to the seat of the chair and the seat to the back. We were also informed of a special paint/substance that can be applied to a mold so that when the concrete has set it can easily be removed from the mold but our lecturer did not know the correct name for it so we are unsure of where to look. - I don't know what make and model your chair is, and thus what features it has, BUT... most of these chairs has a pneumatic cylinder in the support column, and for adjusting seat height, a LEVER beneath the seat, usually near the right front corner as you sit in the chair. To use this type of adjustment, you press the handle upward against the bottom of the seat, and THEN sit on it, forcing the seat down. When the seat is down, or at the desired elevation, release the handle, and the seat should stay there. If you want the seat at a higher level, remove ALL load from the seat, press the release handle, and a spring should lift the seat. Then when you have the desired height, release the handle and the seat should stay at that level. IF the seat is raising all by itself when you're not sitting on it, I suspect that the adjusting VALVE is not seating properly, and allows air back into the cylinder, and the spring raises the seat [sort of like magic!!!!]. Turn the chair over and check the valve [if it's not concealed] and look for lint or debris which is keeping the valve from fully seating and sealing the vent hole. IF the chair is new, I recommend returning it to the place you bought it and REQUEST REPLACEMENT on the basis that the chair is DEFECTIVE. If it's not new, then it's a matter of either cleaning the valve, or if it's not blocked, then repairing it so it can seat [and seal] properly.

When would babies start pureed food?
- babies usually start eating food between 4-6 months. Before the 4-6 month mark, the baby should only receive breast milk or formula. There is really no need for a highchair before then...unless you just want to be prepared.

- Just tell her she is going to do it. Yes, she may scream, but she'll get over it if you just ignore her. Tell her that the high chair is for babies and she is no longer a baby. My daughter is 2 and she's been out of the high chair for about 3mo. now. She didn't like the idea at first because we kept the high chair in visible view. We finally put the high chair where she couldn't see it anymore and then she realized she didn't have an option. Throw it out or put it somewhere she's not going to see it and tell her that you guys threw it away because she was too big for it. She won't have any other choice then and don't give in.
