- Q:Recently, I bought a chair at Wal-Mart, and they assembled it for me. Recently, I noticed there were about 5 or 6 tiny little bugs crawling on the back part of it. I killed them, and I can't see anyone, but they are very hard to see on the black surface of the chair. I'm trying to figure out where they are coming from. Any ideas?
- Well honestly if you never saw the bugs before the chair then I would just take it back to Walmart and tell them the problem. There should be no reason you can't get your money back or exchange it because like the other person said it could be the material or it may just be the box it came in or where it was stocked. I wouldn't risk your house filling up with nasties over a chair. Walmart is normally understanding about things. Either way good luck.

- Q:I'm very recently very interested in the old abandoned ski areas. I was wondering if anyone knew of an old area where lifts are still up? or even if the chairs are set on the ground that would be ideal. I'm looking for old chairs to just really get a good sense of the old technology that was used on these old mountain/areas. I've had some great success with finding rope tows and Poma lifts, however chairlifts are hard to find really with chairs still attached! Any information would be great. Just a hint. I am NOT looking to take these. I have found old Poma Bars, T-Bars, and old rope tow handles and always abide by the rules of the area. I have taken ONE T-bar, and asked the mountains owner for permission to take it. I don't know how I could fit a chair in my little Ford Taurus either! - What about getting a kiddie size table chair? It might be a little more diffcult for you but if you can take the hassle out of meal-time then it's probably worth it? It sounds like for some reason he is associating the chair or table or something with bad feelings and the last thing you want is for that to end up being a bad association with food itself! If you could get the fun back into mealtime maybe you could then re-introduce the 'big' table as something exciting and what big boys do kinda thing. Maybe lunch at the little table dinner with mum dad? Or let him pick his own fun plate cutlery or something?

- The best way to figure out where and how much lead is in your chair is to contact the company that either makes the chair or sold you the chair. They should be able to provide you further information. The warning specifically states California because California passed a low called Proposition 65 that requires all products sold in the state to identify whether or not they contain any chemicals known to cause cancer and/or birth defects. It is not a national requirement, only a CA requirement. To save money, many companies include the label regardless of where the product is sold in the US. It does NOT specify if the chemicals are at a harmful level or not, only that they are present. A Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. For further information about Proposition 65 and what chemicals CA requires to be identified, I would recommend googling it.

- The chairs that I am most familiar with are Pelton Crane, KaVo Dental-EZ. I'm not really sure which brands have the largest market share, but I'm sure that if you contact individual companies, they'll know! If you want to purchase a chair, contact your local dental dealer. You need to see a diagram; there is one on the website The 6 vertexed ring does not conform to the shape of a perfect hexagon. The conformation of a flat 2D planar hexagon has considerable angle strain because its bonds are not 109.5 degrees; the torsional strain would also be considerable due to all eclipsed bonds. Therefore, to reduce torsional strain, cyclohexane adopts a three-dimensional structure known as the chair conformation. The new conformation puts the carbons at an angle of 109.5°. Half of the hydrogens are in the plane of the ring (equatorial) while the other half are perpendicular to the plane (axial). This conformation allows for the most stable structure of cyclohexane.
