it depends on the chairs. if they are ugly material and color I'd definitely go for the chair covers, but if they are those newer chairs that are slightly fancier than no need for chair covers.

Without knowing the brand of the chair or seeing a photo I can't really tell you much other than you get what you pay for. I have a chair right now that belonged to my mother that she got in the 1950's made by Broyhill. I have no idea what she paid for it. When I got this chair all I had to do was spend some money to get it recovered and a new cushion. Her high dollar furniture lasted longer than 3 sets of the cheaper furniture that I bought over the years. Broyhill upholstered chairs are running $600 or more. Knowing what I know now, if I had the money to afford higher dollar furniture I would buy it.

I just had the same thing happen to me with some patio chairs I moved the other day. Basically water get inside the tubing of the frame of the chair and over time surface rust forms and mixes with the water at the bottom. Thats where you get the red-orange fluid from. Rust doesn't have a liquid form but it can mix in with water when agitated with water.

Replacing the cylinder is usually not an option however you could set the height, then drill through the shaft and put a bolt in it to hold it to that height. Another way is to take the cylinder apart and put a collar in there, a piece of pipe of the correct height to hold the chair where you want it.

you can, with a plastic spray paint but the problem is that if you paint something its NOT MENT TO MOVE. bean bag chairs move so it will crack. you would be wasting your money if it was to be used. if it was for not usage then go for it. I suggest you spray paint something else....like a basket/wall/inanimate object...take your pick. I just got threw spray painting my stupid basket that holds my magazines. it was white and i painted it red along with my ceramic fish that i would put a plant in...i love red, its cool color., now I have a red fish and red basket to hold my burnables....look around you will find things to paint and its fun too! good luck!
