Q:Can anyone recommend an inexpensive vacuum for hardwood floors?
I use a swiffer dry mop. when I wash my hard wood floor, i use warm water and a little vinegar. cleans it great and doesn't leave any streaks
Q:Did they have electricity and indoor plumbing? What were the rooms like? Was the house kept tidy? What kind of cleaning equipment was used?Did they have vacuum cleaners, bleach and air freshener?
To sum in up: the houses were built to last, smaller rooms. The only problem I have seen is lead was used in all the paint along with the water lines coming into the home. Electricity now-a days are a vast improvement compared to back then.More outlets per room have to placed 18 inches above the floor, back then you would find outlets in the floor.
Q:What vacuum cleaners would you recommend besides hoover. The price is not important ?
Personal preference aside, bagless vacs are notoriously expensive to own. There are usually 2-3 filters that can set you back $40+ anually, and don't forget, THEY ARE ALWAYS DUSTY. My favorite is a Panasonic, bagged, HEPA quality vacuum. It goes for about $200 and it has a great feature: motor by-pass. This means the motor is not IN the path of the debris you are sucking up, but the motor is behind the bag. Say goodbye to motor clogs and worse, jammed/seized/broken motor fan assemblies! Dysan is good out the box, but it is impossible to get parts down the road, so they are becoming 'disposable'... and at $400+ that is not good. In addition to Panasonic, my customers have have nothing but great reviews on Fuller (yes, the Fuller Brush Man!) and Sanitaire.
Q:The vacuum has a really loud noise to it. At one point I seen grease/oil on the floor while it was running. The noise sounds like it needs grease or something. I'm thinking the bearings, but that's just a guess. Please can someone help or advise of a website where I can find the quot;how to fixquot;. Dyson support was useless. They just said to send the vacuum in or bring to a repair center at my cost. My options aren't big, I live in a very small town that doesn't have many or if any repair centers. Thanks in advance for anyone that can help.
that's a tough one buddy-- I can't even grease my wife to make her work well-- otherwise whe might work like a hoover
Q:I have a dog who sheds like no tomorrow and my current vacuum doesn't cut it.
When okorder which probably has the the same info as OKorder. He gives a 5 year guarantee on his products. The OKorder prices are cheaper than the website. I bought a Rainbow based on recommendations from friends from him on OKorder. It works better than an Electrolux. I have 6 dogs!!
Q:I need your help! I have had over 6 diffrent vacuums. The first one was great but heavy and old. It was a GE but now the old thing has broken down. So I have tried to get the light weight ones, the cordless ones, even ones with all these kits with them, but they are all worthless. Either they break or all too delecate or too big. I NEED ONE THAT IS BAGLESS, HAS GOOD SUCTION, SMALL THAT WILL FIT UNDER BEDS AND TABLES, GOOD WITH CAT HAIRS AND MAYBE INCLUDE A HOSE TOO. Please help. Give me a store name and a URL of the vacuum. Thanks.
Good one! :-P I did accidently!!! I was coming home with my vacume I just had repaired, it was a Hoover. The other car I had at the time was a hatch back. well, the clip on it had broken and I was traveling down the highway back home when the back flew open and my vacume took off, hit the ground........................ I was driving like 60 on that freeway and looking out my rear view window at my horror, the poor thing was sparking all over the place and other cars were dodging it in it's pass as it was litterly cruising backwards at high speed! I sincerely hope it didn't cause any accidents but I could have been cited for that. Nevertheless, I had the back door fixed and have a different car now. As for the poor Hoover, it went to the BIG Pearly gates in the sky!!!!!!!!!!!! :-( +(
Q:In the last three months I have purchased two separate vacuum cleaners from Wal-Mart.....granted they were cheap...but they were also all I could afford. They have both stopped working...the most recent one I got worked great for about a week ( it cost 40 bucks)..and now it gets so clogged up every time I use it, that its pointless to even try...and it leaves black marks all over my carpet, I have to stop and unclog the hose after only doing half a room....plus it isnt even picking n e thing up!!! I am so fed up.....I can't afford an Orek or a Hoover....is there a cheap vacuum that wont quit on me??? Price range from 50-80 dollars????......Please help!!!
Eureka - Maxima Bagged Upright!! U can get it at best buy for like $53. It is easy to operate and doesn't use many bags. For as long as i can remember ( so about 8 yrs.) my family has had an eureka and for 7 of those years we had the same one with virtually no problems. until the last year when it started clogging a bit. This one is AWESOME and the color is adorable. I works very well. Hope this helps
Q:My partner and I recieved two vacuum cleaners for Christmas and want to return one to the store. Which one should we keep and which should we return?Brand: VoltaName: GeminiModel: U4504Max: 1600 WattVoltage: 230-240V 50HzWeight: 7.5kgUses: BagsBrand: KambrookName: Jaguar KompactModel: KVC30Max: 1600 WattVoltage: 230-240V 50HzWeight: UnsureUses: BagsBest answer will be chosen ASAP =)
I would say it`s a tossup, I bought a vac recently they are all comparable in power size of the vacuum head. The only real difference is in the accessories. You just have to determine if they`re worth the price.
Q:maybe Avon, books or vacuum cleanerswould my looks prevent me from making enough sales to earn a living
If I can get married and have children dear, you can earn a living going door to door.
Q:Explain how this fan causes dirt to be picked up by the vacuum cleaner.
