Q:How to better manage the carpet warehouse?

It depends on what kind of carpet it is. Wool carpet is not suitably stored in cold and wet environment, and try not to put it in the sun. Because the moisture absorption of wool is relatively good, and the color fades fast in the sun. Try to keep the air circulation in the depositary. But one thing is sure that it needs to dry, ventilate, spray insect-resist agent.

Q:The corners on my rugs are starting to curl up because they are getting old.. and loved! They go perfectly with the rest of my decor so I don't what to have to go find new ones.

I was in the same position a few months ago! Some people told me to use double-sided tape but that only worked on hard floors.. and that wasn't even every good. I ended up getting Ruggies or Ruggie Rug Grippers - they have worked great for me to secure mats on both hard floors and even on carpets. They're also reusable- if you just rinse it off, they will easily restick to a new rug.

Q:whats a good inexpensive stream cleaner that will make my carpet look like new again! we moved into our apartment almost a year ago and it was a very rainy muddy day, ever since my carpets have just been plain nasty looking, its only the livingroom and diningroom though. What can i get that will actually work

I decided last year to do that very thing and researched carpet steamers and scrubbers on Consumer reports. Their finding was that NO home carpet cleaner was even close to the cleaning power of the rental steam cleaners that can be rented at grocery and pharmacies. (They did advise to inspect closely for worn or dirty units). But beyond that - they said that having Stanley Steemer out was far beyond the cleaning of the rentals. That's what I did, and I have to agree, having used both rental steamers and an older home carpet scrubber at our own home and on rental property carpets.

Q:So I have this big area rug in the middle of my living room and it keeps rolling up and sliding around how do I make it stay in one place. Nothing permanent because I rent. And its on carpet.

There is a special rubbery ( but its not) type of mesh/woven etc under layment that you put under a rug to stop it from scooting. Comes in many sizes so know your rug size and it can be cut to fit using scissors. Get the type for rug over carpet. Leaves no residue ( like double sided tape can). Washable , so when it loses its tackiness you toss it in to be washed and its as good as new. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL

Q:cannot stop cat from urinating on rug. i keep washing and nothing helps . the smell is driving me crazy

so some distance as getting rid of the scent, sturdy success!! in keeping with risk try something like Odo-ban. Alot of daycares use it. The cat prolly keeps urinating on the rug because of the fact it smells the place it has went formerly, the reason cats use muddle bins. bite the rug, in case you get a clean one, take care of any 'injuries' at present with windex or different ammonia cleansing products to dissuade the cat from persevering with the habit.

Q:I have a 1 yr old Male, fixed, cat. He's never given me ANY problems. except lately he's been urinating on the bathroom rug.. Well, it sounds worse than it really is.. he did it once, then I washed the rug.. it was clean for a day.. then he peed on it once again. There are NO other cats in the house, the litter box IS in the bathroom. I can not scold him or correct the behavior because of the amount of time lapsed when he's gone on the rug. So he wouldn't know what he's being corrected for ( I was in Dog training) This is his only vice. :( Please help!

That's true about male humans missing the toilet...I had one bathroom rug that was getting peed on and that's what we attributed to it, it hasn't happened since my roommates moved out. I would take the rug up for now, to see if he stops. Also, spraying citrus or vinegar on it MIGHT keep him from doing it again, but if it's due to male humans missing the toilet then he will keep doing it. Again, I suggest just taking the rug up for a while. Wash it with the baking soda and vinegar.

Q:kids had a musrard fight on a neutral colored carpet

You could try Spray Nine cleaner/degreaser/disinfectant. It's a great stain remover for carpets (except wool). You may have to apply it more than once if it is a particularly difficult stain. Rinse with clear water.

Q:we have NO PETS but every time I vacuum, it fills up with CARPET! I will do one spot over and over again and it will still fill up with CARPET!!! (lol)Why is this?!?!We have the top-of-the-line quot;plushquot; carpet if that helps any.

If you can change the setting on your vacuum, maybe try switching it to 'high carpet' if you haven't already.

Q:A bottle of gorilla glue spilt on the carpet (the kind that dries white) I can't get it off without tearing the carpet up...and I live in an apartment. Do I have to rip the carpet out or is there a way of getting it off. If I have to rip the carpet out how do I replace that patch?

Unfortunately Gorilla Glue is a polymer and bonds with nylon carpet fibers. You'll have to cut out a patch of the carpet and replace it. Good luck finding a piece to match unless you take a piece from a closet. If you do that cut the damaged piece out first and lay ti over the replacement piece and CAREFULLY cut an identical patch. Tape in and glue the patch with carpet tape and adhesive. Make sure the pile and pattern match. Good luck.

Q:Ok so I'm trying to make my room cooler before high school and I need a new rug, but I don't wanna spend a bunch of money on one!It could be from 8'x10' to 10'x12'. Also, I need to fill in some room, and I have a futon at my house that I could make a cool couch but not the frame, so could you help me with that too? Any other ideas to make a room cool for a low price would be great, Thank you!!!
