Q:Are scandium revolvers as durable as steel?
You know, I've kind of wondered about that too. Admittedly Scandium is a rather durable material, no contest there... but from the perspective of a machinist who has played with said Scandium in the past... it seems to *flake* on the blanchard grinders... hell, even fly cutting it acts kinda weird. I like steel because it's predictable, it has a fatigue point that is predictable... and when that fatigue point is met (limits of elastic modulus met by repetitive stress/strain exertions) it's fairly obvious. You get cracking, warping, and sometimes stretch marks... (yes, you can get *stretch marks* on steel). Scandium... I don't know. I don't know if it'll start cracking when it finally fatigues... or if it'll just let go all at once. Anyways, I don't think I'd worry too much about your revolver. It'll hold up I'm very sure (they've been around for years and people have put many, many rounds through them). Call me odd, but I'm a fan of steel. It's conventional, inexpensive (relatively speaking), and utterly durable.
Q:i wana get my tongue peirced, the only metal im not allergic to right now is surgical steel?
Most reputable piercers will use surgical steel. You can ask them beforehand and they will let you know what it is they are piercing you with. You can go out and buy a ring of your own and have them sterilize and use that to Peirce you with. Like I said though, most places do use surgical steel. I wouldn't worry too much. :) Just make sure you ask to be sure. Good luck!
Q:How is steel galvanized and why?
Steel can be galvinised by electroplating process. Galvinising means providing a zinc coating on steel surface. It protects the material from rusting and loosing the shinining.
Q:Stainless steel laminate?
There okorder.com appliance paint 2. What you are referring to really is not laminate steel sheets, it's actually more along the lines of shelf liner paper looks like steel with sticky back film that you peel and stick. Place against product and begin to peel down slowly using squeegee or credit card to smooth out bubbles.Sheets can be purchased rangingin size on OKorder for $9.99 + dependent on size. Called stainless steel appliance film can buy a roll for $60.00 on OKorder (normally sells for $100.00) one roll will cover 3 average sized kitchen appliances. Hope this helps!
Q:which sounds better, nylon or steel string?
it all depends nylon is faster, and brighter than steel, but is available only on acoustic as coil pickups won't detect them(only peizo will). That is one reason. Another is price, you tend to replace the nylon more often as it is weaker, and less resistant to corrision. EVEN THOUGH strings have a larger price range, and be cheaper than steel, or considerably more expensive. overall the nylon is brighter, but quite-er. Steel is louder, but deeper. nylon doesn't get feedback as easily, and is amazingly fast and easy to play. some think nylon sounds old fashoined(it looks it too, with an open headstock, ond classical look(sometimes mistaken as another name for it). MY SUGGESTION- visit your local music shop and try out steel, and nylons to in person get a feel for the sound.(remember that you get what you pay for, go as high in price as you can reasonably afford) ALWAYS TRY BEFORE YOU BUY, PLAY BOTH TYPES IN THE SAME RANGE OF PRICE(at least $400), THEN DECIDE WHAT SOUNDS BETTER TO YOU(and of course feels better and easier to play).
Q:Man of Steel vs Superman (1978)?
Well, I haven't seen it Man of Steel but I really see it hard to believe that's better than Superman. To me, Superman with Christopher Reeve is the best movie about Superman ever made. When I first saw it I was amazed. Watching Superman flying for the first time, catching Loise and graving that helicopter before it falls... it was awesome! I loved it! The other movies that followed were bad but this one was amazing. I've seen what other actors have made with the character, but I believe Christopher was the best. He was the perfect man, the perfect gentleman and the best superhero ever. I know that this Superman is for the new generations so it will be more 'real' and more 'suffered' or will have more personal issues dealing with his origins and blah blah blah... and I wish him good luck, but honestly? I stick to the original Superman because whenever I see Christopher Reeve flying around the planet as Superman (hanging from wires-no CGI people!) and I hear that characteristic music I just melt and I'm a child once more. So good luck to the new generation, I really hope they like this new guy and new story, but I'm more than fine with the original version, thank you. Hope it helps! ;)
Q:are steel guitar strings ok? :)?
Classical okorder.com/... P.S Classical guitars are not limited to playing classical music but that is generally what they are used for.
Q:Best Quality Steel...............!!?
In steel construction there are many standard types of steel used. Lots of different factors contribute to your steel choice. How tall is the building? Are you in an earthquake zone? Steel for the columns, or the beams? You might want to refer to the American Institute of Steel Construction for more information, they are the governing body in the US.
Q:What is the function/s of stainless steel?
What is the function/s of stainless steel? Stainless steels of various kinds are used in thousands of applications. The following gives a flavour of the full range: Domestic – cutlery, sinks, saucepans, washing machine drums, microwave oven liners, razor blades Architectural/Civil Engineering – cladding, handrails, door and window fittings, street furniture, structural sections, reinforcement bar, lighting columns, lintels, masonry supports Transport – exhaust systems, car trim/grilles, road tankers, ship containers, ships chemical tankers, refuse vehicles Chemical/Pharmaceutical – pressure vessels, process piping. Oil and Gas – platform accommodation, cable trays, subsea pipelines. Medical – Surgical instruments, surgical implants, MRI scanners. Food and Drink – Catering equipment, brewing, distilling, food processing. Water – Water and sewage treatment, water tubing, hot water tanks. General – springs, fasteners (bolts, nuts and washers), wire. don't forget to rate and good luck hope it helps you
Q:About types of stainless steel for knifes.?
I do engraving on knife blades (actually all kinds of metal but occasionally knife blades). Every company's blades are a little different. I get the idea that different companies have different compounds. All the materials are some compromise between hardness, toughness, corrosion resistance, machineability and other considerations. Stainless is generally not as good as a high-carbon steel, but high-carbon steel rusts and turns black. Stainless is much easier to keep clean.
