Q:I personally believe it is in little ways. 1.) Advertisements are continually cheapening human interaction. Example: the man who is talking about finding his queen and we think he is talking about a woman but no he is talking about a sofa. 2.) Face to face interaction has become less and less important in society. We are all on our phones, watching TV or on our computers sending text messages or on facebook. 3.) Everywhere you look people are not looking at the person they are talking to, they are too busy with gadgets. I mean who here has been annoyed becuase the person they were talking to was texting?So basically my question is, Do you think technology is good or bad for humans?

I was watching some Sex in Technology type of show...I forget the name of it...and technology is not only destroying everyday relationships, but romantic relationships as well. Sex machines to satisfy one without need of another human are in the works...one pump type thing hooked up to a computer. I don't know. I am beginning to hate the advancement of technology. Some is good, yes...but it is going TOO far!

Q:I'm talking about both commercial farms and subsistence farms. When I say mechanization, I'm referring to tractors, harvesters, threshers etc

I find tractors a big help to carry heavy loads plough the fields cut the hay and carry big bales of hay/straw..so thats an advantage farm machinery make farming a bit easier and you are able to do work quicker (i.e harvesting) and with out the need of to many labourers and less physical strain... disadvantage: they can be dangerous if not used/handled properly they can be expensive to buy compare to employing workers need fuel and maintenence which can be expensive they are not environmentally friendly

Q:why is it important to reduce friction during the operation of machinery?

To reduce wear, noise and heat losses. The latter being important to increased efficiency and reduced energy consumption.

Q:I have an assignement where I have to explain how ribosomes in plant cells are equivalent to a machinery in a city.I understand the concept and the general idea, but I don't know how to word it out and explain it clearly.Any ideas?Thanks!

ribos keep the body moving and working, just like machinery in a city. it takes the garbage truck picking up the trash, delivery trucks bringing in fresh produce, police cars keeping the peace, construction machinery building new structures and so on so the city continues to function as a whole. when one piece of machinery breaks down it causes a chain reaction that affects thru out the city. same goes for your mind and body. good luck
