Q:why is the fire extinguisher bad for us for ex if someone catch on fire why cant you just use the fire extinguisher on them insted of SDR
The ABC dry chemical that comes out of the extinguisher is no where near as bad as being burned. The dry chemical dust is not toxic but it can coat your lungs just like any type of powder. The dry chemical is also not the best choice for using on a burning person because it does not cool the burning material. Even so the dry chemical can extinguish the flames, the person will continue to be burned by the heated material and clothing. The extinguisher you should use would be a AFFF foam or CAFS(compressed air foam) extinguisher. The water in foam cools the burning clothing (and person) and is more effective on the class A material that clothing is made of. The next best choice would be a water extinguisher filled with soapy water. By the chem help part of the question I take this as a lab question? If so you would just use the fire blanket to smother the flames on the person. Do not take it off until all the flames are extinguished. Then use the emergency shower to cool the peron's body if it was a large part of their body.
Q:Thank you
Stop. Drop. Roll. Keep on doing it until the fire goes out.
Q:how much would a fire hydrant ticket cost?
Work with her neighbors. See if they would be willing to assist her if something did happen. Give them your contact information so they can reach you in an emergency. Get her a fire extinguisher and show her how to use it. You need to consider moving her somewhere safer with easy access for her to get out by herself if she has to. Check with your local Housing Authority and see if they provide apartments for senior citizens. Whatever you decide to do, I hope everything works out for the best for the both of you. (:.
Q:A remote administration tool that can be used to monitor systems without actually installing the server or any instance of that tool in the remote system. I have heard about danware remote control, but don't know where to download it.
My Favorite Possessions Have you ever wondered what you'd take out of your house in a burning fire? I have. I've often thought about what I'd save it I could only choose a few items. I think first I'd take out the children's pictures my parents have saved since our childhoods. Next, I'd grab my old cigar box. It's filled with all my friends gifts and keepsakes, which are real treasures for me. My parents letters would come with me too, and my dog's comfort items. I couldn't forget my CD collection and my sisters things. She's at college so she'd be furious if I didn't remember to take her precious items. We'd need food and water, so we'd have the ability to survive, and blankets, first aid kit, and flashlights would be helpful too. We'd put the dog in the car, of course, and the cat, and the four of us. We couldn't forget the Smiths, our neighbors, just in case the fire spread. Hmmmm. I think we'd need a moving van! Lets just hope we never need to evacuate.
Q:I know that A is for wood B for flammable liquids and C for electrical but should I get a dry chemical or carbon dioxide I don’t know
Now I'm glad I used cloth diapers p. Anyway, most people here gave very good (albeit interesting!) quick fixes. Thick towels, pads, even sweatshirts would definitely work in this kind of emergency. Good luck!
Q:A million poems of Christmas, Thanksgiving is over and past.I don’t know a thing about Hanukkah; how long will this brain-block last?Stuck at the computer thinking, just thinking, I feel my attention shrinking and shrinking.I start to think of the numb cold with a sharp, cutting headache, And the glowing warm fires, soft blankets, and treats that we bake.Houses embellished with glittering lights and decorations,Which from a distance melt into gorgeous illuminations. There are pageants and parties and annoying carols we sing. The trees are adorned and small bell symphonies ring.I can’t enjoy that until this poem is finished, And trying to start the thought was diminished.Oh, I must bring my fantasy to an end.I’ll think of something to write, well, that’s what I intend.
Glowing night, Glowing Snow Bright light Twinkle bright Love Season Cold Blow Chill of light setting snow
Q:Is putting a blanket over an oil heater dangerous? The heat is pretty low n nothing has happened so far n ive heard a lot of ppl do it too.?
Only if it's an oil-fuelled heater. Oil-filled electric heaters are very unlikely to reach a high enough temperature to set fire to anything. If you insulate them enough they might damage themselves by getting hotter than they are designed for. This would probably need 2 or more layers of blanket. If you just put the blanket on for a short time to warm or to dry it, I don't think there's any risk. But I wouldn't leave it on and go out for a long time.
Q:Fire blanket selection, fire blanket recommendations
In the use of objects and devices covered, should choose the soft, and the toughness of fire blanket. Such as fire covering clothes. If the thickness of welding blanket is less than 0.6mm, the electric welding blanket can be avoided by vertical use. The horizontal welding blanket with thickness greater than 0.6mm can be avoided
Q:I am working on a video project for a friend. If we use remote desktop to link our computers, will I be able to edit and watch video (with audio) and access the video files from other hard drives on his computer if I use a remote desktop program on my computer?
NTFS will let you store files over 4gb in size, which makes it better. Plus, every Windows OS since NT4 requires being installed to NTFS.(I think)
Q:i usually try and turn it off in case it catches on fire or something :S but is that possible? is there a risk when keeping it on at night?
Yes I do, and I have been using for more than 10 years, but make sure there is no twist or ties. It should be flat over your thin cover, and make sure every wire plugged in securely. More over put it on mark number “3” a few minutes before getting into the bed, then put on number “1” because you will fell so hot in the middle of the night
