Q:What are hovering vacuums?
I know the ones your asking about. They are actually sweepers and not vacuums. These are the little round units that run around by themselves. They work pretty good, but on carpet you will need to run the vacuum on occasion as stated above because it just sweeps.
Q:s there a place that will let you rent vacuum cleaners for like a few hours or a day?
Yeah. More than one place actually.
Q:I live with 2 kids and 1 cat so my home is heavily travelled and I can not seem to find a vacuum cleaner that works for more than 5 times. I have a Eureka right now which I was told was great for catching pet hair.It sucks. I need a good vacuum that will pick up cat hair, pine needles from the Xmas tree, etc. One that does not break the bank.
i use the shark navigator. 199.00 at bed bath and beyond. get yourself a discount coupon. this is the best machine ever. hope this helps. also on e bay and mfgr. site.
Q:The vacuum has a really loud noise to it. At one point I seen grease/oil on the floor while it was running. The noise sounds like it needs grease or something. I'm thinking the bearings, but that's just a guess. Please can someone help or advise of a website where I can find the quot;how to fixquot;. Dyson support was useless. They just said to send the vacuum in or bring to a repair center at my cost. My options aren't big, I live in a very small town that doesn't have many or if any repair centers. Thanks in advance for anyone that can help.
Hi its Darran at Dyson. I am concerned that you have indicated your machine was leaking some kind of oil or grease and neither of these fluids are used in the manufacture of the DC14 or indeed any of our vacuum cleaners. If your DC14 is making a loud noise and is not running correctly, we would strongly advise you take it to a local repair centre or call the Dyson Helpline for assistance. If you are not able to take it to a repair centre, we can arrange for it to be collected and taken to one. We would also recommend not using your Dyson vacuum cleaner until you have this issue resolved. Kind regards Darran Dyson Customer Service
Q:I have a two piece standard Kenmore vacuum (not an upright vacuum but one of those that the hose attaches to the body). Anyways, I was vacuuming and then all of a sudden the roller quit spinning. I thought maybe some string or some other obstruction was preventing the roller from spinning or perhaps the belt broke. But I took everything apart and found out the motor doesn't spin. I can't even spin it manually. If I remember right shouldn't the motor be able to spin freely? My motor is stuck and won't spin and I can't find any obstruction preventing it from spinning.Any thoughts? And secondly, can you clarify if the motor should spin freely when the vacuum is turned off because I could have sworn that in the past if anything got wrapped around the roller (like string) I could easily unwind it.
That motor burned. Need a new one. Good luck...!
Q:i need something cheap too
With allergies, buy any one in your price range as long as it has a hepa filter. They filter finer particles than a regular filtered vac. For a reasonably priced name for a starter vac, check the Dirt Devil brands
Q:vacuum, air cleaners. Duribilaty, usuages, warrentys, etc.
They are terribly overrated. I would never put that much money in a vac.
Q:Will future vacuum cleaners have a small black hole to improve suction?
No, they'll have a large black hole to really improve suction.
Q:Should I spend a lot and expect it to last for years, or should I spend a little and expect to replace it next year. What brand and model should I buy. Please help!
Buy a Dyson or a Miele, you can't go wrong. You'll be buying quality for maybe twice the price of one that wouldn't do as good a job and that you'll replace in a year. They will last you 10 years no problem and do a better job than the lesser vacuum cleaner too. So you'll save money in the long run too. It's a win win situation.
Q:A vacuum cleaner is supposed to do just that: clean! And that’s what my old vacuum wasn’t doing. And it was so heavy! . Is it really lighter than the one which are there in the market. Doesn’t it have a bag to dispose like in other conventional models?
The review link you posted stated that Dyson Vacuum Cleaners are among the heavier and pricier vacuum cleaners on the market. I am a big believer in most of the research Consumer Reports does and it lists Dyson, but not as a reliable option. Most of them do have a bag to dispose of like most upright models but some do not. I have purchased the Eureka Boss Smart Vac Ultra 4870, and it is awesome. It was only around $125 but it is great and easy to use. It is also a Consumer Report Best Buy and that is against vacuums in the 3, 4, 5 hundred and even $1350 price range! It is heavier than I expected (about 20 pounds) but it really kicks some butt when in use. Again, it is so simple to switch from carpet to hardwood to the hose and has a clip to lock the power cord in place so it's not always in the way.
