Excavators are used in many ways:
Digging of trenches, holes, foundations
Material handling
Brush cutting with hydraulic attachments
Forestry work
Forestry mulching
General grading/landscaping
Mining, especially, but not only open-pit mining
River dredging
Driving piles, in conjunction with a pile driver
Drilling shafts for footings and rock blasting, by use of an auger or

Hydraulic drill attachment

Hydraulic excavator capabilities have expanded far beyond excavation tasks with buckets. With the advent of hydraulic-powered attachments such as a breaker, a grapple or an auger, the excavator is frequently used in many applications other than excavation. Many excavators feature a quick coupler for simplified attachment mounting, increasing the machine's utilization on the jobsite. Excavators are usually employed together with loaders and bulldozers. Most wheeled, compact and some medium-sized (11 to 18-tonne) excavators have a backfill (or dozer) blade. This is a horizontal bulldozer-like blade attached to the undercarriage and is used for levelling and pushing removed material back into a hole.

Q:Why do men always have to do the most dangerous work & in most irregular hours in every society?
Two reasons: 1) Most women are simply unwilling to do dangerous work. 2) Men's lives are greatly devalued in current society. You can see this in occupational health, in health research, and in health spending. This value-of-life perspective used to be largely motivated by men's willingness to sacrifice for others. These days, a large share of it stems from the successful devaluation of men's lives by feminists. Note that while feminists, for example, make a big deal about the gap in average occupational wages (roughly 3:2, women less than men), they absolutely refuse to even admit, let alone discuss, the gap in occupational deaths (17:1. men MUCH more than women). Not surprisingly, MRAs object to this contempt for the lives of men. Mama: Your grasp of supply and demand is weak. Dangerous jobs ALWAYS pay more for equivalent skill-level because workers would refuse to do them otherwise. Workers, people, always consider such tradeoffs in their occupational decisions. To say that there is no relation between danger and wage is to be completely naiive about both current wage structures and about what supply and demand means. I am quite struck by the nobody has to do these jobs comments. Is that like, nobody has to raise the kids? or nobody has to give birth? or nobody has to cook and clean? If so, maybe men doing dangerous jobs should just go on a collective strike. Perhaps then we'll get a better understanding of what these people are doing for the rest of us.
Q:is there a graph or chart showing the maximum gradiant a 360 tracked excavator can dig at?
Manufacturers usually have that information. Try their web site,
Q:Need a place in st. louis, mo to rent land or area for an excavator & a truck.?
I would try Craig's list. ~
Q:Anyone have any reviews on the Zoomed excavator clay substrate? I would like to use this with a mixture w/sand?
if you have turtles you are not supposed to give them sand. they will mistakenly eat it which can mess up their digestive system, cause them pain, and possibly death
Q:do i need to re-sit my 360 excavator test ?
nah it lasts forever
Q:How is mercury obtained and processed from the earth?
it is obtained by earth
Q:I have a 1995 Kamatsu excavator that wont shut off once its started?
There's a solenoid on the fuel pump that is supposed to shut off the fuel when you turn the key off. It's usually not much. Go to the local dealership with the model and make and they'll be able to tell you for sure. They go out once in a while. It's nothing more than a little electro magnet just like a solenoid on a starter.
Q:What did Baby Jesus' birth certificate list under father's name and father's occupation?
do you think they actually had birth certificates back then
Q:Frozen cemetary grounds?
Backhoes, the machines that dig the holes, are powerful, can dig out the frozen soil in most cases with little problem.
Q:I need wiring diagram for eh215 new holland excavator free download?
search Holland eh215 wiring diagram/pdf You can print it out and save it.
