- Q:We're having a pretty casual reception. It's at a hotel (Hilton), and we're having a band. It's a fun band; not the $10,000 wedding band I wanted (before I found out the price!). So, will it look too formal (out of place) to have chair covers w/ sashes? Otherwise, maybe just an overlay and nice centerpiece on the tables.

They both apologized later for doubting me. *laughs* If your father is the one paying for the covers, look around your area (on the internet) for a good priced rental company. Even those (home-based) companies. Just make sure you ask them questions like (delivery fees, pick-up/drop off, ironing before delivery, etc. etc.). If anything, show him the link below so he gets an idea of what somehting as simple as chair covers and overlays can do to a room. Also remember, that he is a guy and paying for the wedding, so he may be a little frugal at times and not really understand decorating. I know my husband didn't get it at first. But I'm sure if you show him the effort of you getting prices from different companies, to save him money, he'll take more consideration.

Shakespeare long ago defeated post modernism by uttering rose by any another name... which means the reality of the reference comes before the word(Amazing some post moderns think this line supports them, but they're wrong). The sound of a concept is arbitrary, but not within a historical language. The meaning of a concept is not arbitrary since it references a thing. While the expression of that concept is universally arbritrary, it is a contextually absolute in the language it's uttered in.
