Q:Help with Stats question?
Hard body : Arithmetic mean : Xbar = ΣX / N = 296 / 17 = 17.4 Standard deviation : s = √ [Σ(X - Xbar)^2 / N] = √ [96.12 / 17] = 2.38 Variance : s^2 = 5.66 Degrees of freedom = 17 - 1 = 16 -------------------- Soft body : Xbar = 88 / 6 = 14.7 s = √ [113.34 / 6] = 4.35 s^2 = 18.92 Degrees of freedom = 6 - 1 = 5 -------------------- Using the F distribution : F = (larger variance) / (smaller variance) = 18.92 / 5.66 = 3.34 (with v1 = 5 and v2 = 16) This is a two-tailed test because the null hypothesis is that there is no difference between the variances. With a 5% probability limit, each tail area = 0.025. Looking up a table of the F distribution for v1 = 5 and v2 = 16, the value given for 0.025 is 3.50. The observed value of 3.34 is less than 3.50, so it lies between the 5% probability limits. Thus, the null hypothesis is accepted, so the claim that there is a difference in the variances of the weights of the two types CANNOT be substantiated, at the 0.05 level of confidence. (My apologies to statistical experts if that is incorrect)
Q:Cost to get vacuum fixed?
This may sound silly, but it happened to me. Our vacuum brush roller stopped working, too. Turned out that the sliding switch that gave the bare floor/carpet option wasn't fully engaged. If you have a switch like that, check it. Also, if you still have the manual for it you may want to check under the troubleshooting section or look on their website. At any rate, I take my vacuum cleaners to Sears for repairs. It usually runs me $60.00 - $80.00, depending on the problem. You may want to shop around. Ask people in your area who they go to. Sears is more expensive, but they're reputable and stand behind their work. Hope this helps!
Q:opnions on what the best vacuum cleaner is?
I am in the home cleaning business. I have tried many vacuums. Kirby's are very heavy, expensive and somewhat challenging to use since you have to take off the power head part (the part of the vacuum that sucks up the dirt) to add on a hose to vacuum upholstery. Plus they have bags that need to be changed. Oreck's are light weight but expensive and don't have attachments, plus they have bags that need to be changed. Dyson's work well, they are bagless and have attachments on the vacuum itself. They can however become clogged easily, but I still recommend this one. If price was no object, hands down the Rainbow is my choice. It is bagless, but traps dirt into a water bowl that you then have to empty. Has washable hepa filter. The attachments are on board but it does have a couple different hoses (one for dirt and one for water, for those wet messes that sometimes occur or for shampooing carpet). There are many more that I have used but I'm sure you don't want me to list them all. So all in all, go bagless, have attachments on the vacuum, have floor height adjustments, hepa filter recommended (which helps to prevent dust from getting into the air) and a long cord.
Q:Are 2 vacuum motors in parallel with one input hose more powerful going into 2 vacuum chambers or just one?
He/she is trying to utilize two vacuum cleaners to increase the power of the suction. In theory two vacuums in parallel would increase the VOLUME of air and dirt sucked. Placing them in series would increase the pressure sucked but would likely reduce the volume.
Q:What is.are the best vacuum cleaners?
Sebos are good. had several Dyson's die on me
Q:interstate compact electra vacuum cleaner?
Try looking on OKorder under vintage vacuum cleaners
Q:Is a vacuum cleaner that has no dust bag in it able to vacuum?
Dust bags aren't required for the vacuum to collect dust and dirt. It's a bagless vacuum. The dirt goes into a cup, and you just dump it out.
Q:Canned Air for laptops vs Vacuum Cleaner?
I used to use canned air to blow away dust but then again I would have to clean up after anyways. So to save myself the hassle I just checked for a handheld vacuum that wouldn't hurt my PC, and now I use that. Just make sure your vacuum won't cause any problems with your PC.
Q:I am jinxed every vacumn cleaner i owns always blows up grrrr why?
the only thing that would cause them to blow-that easily would be completely blocked vents, that prevent the machine from running too hot and frying itself...so I suggest cleaning your filters and emptying the bag more. Also another thing that commonly breaks vaccuums is running over the cord with the machine
Q:Are tornadoes nature's vacuum cleaners?
No! A vacuum cleaner leaves things clean. A tornado messes everything up.
