Q:i got my scaffold done quite a while ago and it still really hurts and is all lush and crusty,loli know it takes agessss to heal but could i take it out and put normall small earrings in each whole instead? Which would i have to use? thanks: in my opinion you should ride it out and just clean it more often. not only will the piercings give you trouble if you try to change the earring now, the piercings themselves will move slightly and you won't be able to put an industrial bar back through it. if you can live with these go through with it, if not, wash often, rotate the bar constantly and avoid sleeping on it and getting your hair caught up in it. like you said, piercings in the cartilage are very sensitive and need time and nurturing so that they can heal properly.

Q:Was thinking of getting one. How much do they cost?: Only a professional piercer can decide if your ear can handle and industrial piercing. Consultations are free and I highly recommend booking one before you get the piercing. Mine was $70, but my regular piercer does them for $50. It just depends on what shop you go to.

Q:so yeah as it says above^should i just wait till it no longer hurts, or do you have to wait a certain amount of time...: I wouldn't suggest changing it for at least 6 weeks. You have to allow the skin to heal before touching, turning or changing the bar. If you do change it beforehand, you risk damaging the skin and cartilage surrounding the piercing. I know that I didn't change mine for about 8 weeks, and I haven't ever had a problem with it.

Q:What does scaffold one's days mean? kill time?: In 60 years of using English in Britain I have not come across that expression, so it is probably rare. Scaffolding is put up to help build or repair tall buildings, so possibly that expression means 'to do something useful with one's time.' But a scaffold is also, historically, a place of execution (legal killing of prisoner), so the expression could mean indeed 'wasting time'. I have a faint feeling that 'scaffold one's days' was written by a non-native speaker of British English. It may be more common in the USA.

Q:When putting up old scaffolding, a mistake was made and it had to come down.Long story short, the connectors between the vertical and horizontal poles (which were hammered in) are stuck.Any ideas for getting them out?Thanks.: Heat the female connection with a torch. The outer connection will expand from the heat. Heat the connection hot enough not to touch but not cherry red. Put a pipe wrench on male side of tubing where its is cool and tap wrench with a hammer and it will come apart. If possible lay the scaffold on its size for better leverage.

Q:i was thinking of having it done. google it if you don't know what it looks like. but i can't handle pain too well, and as i've seen on youtube, its not nice lmfao, i know pain varies from person to person, but any ideas on how to like take your mind off it? im quite young and this is my first major piercing, i only have my lobes done twice;), and does anyone know a good place to find nice barbells once it's healed:)? thanks:)!aaand do you think this is a nice piece to put in once its healed?: I okorder for barbells. They have some pretty epic lightnight bolt ones and zigzags and they are like 3 bucks!!!! You can never find them in the mall like that :P lol. Anyway, i deff. think you should get the piercing.
