Aluminium is a relatively soft,durable, lightweight, ductile and malleablemetal with appearance ranging from silvery to dull gray,depending on the surface roughness. It is nonmagnetic and does not easilyignite. A fresh film of aluminium serves as a good reflector (approximately92%) of visible light and an excellent reflector (as much as98%) of medium and far infrared radiation. The yield strength of pure aluminium is 7–11 MPa,while aluminium alloys have yield strengths ranging from200 MPa to 600 MPa. Aluminium has about one-third the density and stiffnessof steel. It iseasily machined,cast, drawn and extruded.

generally, all things in Europe needs ROSH EU's requirement, mainly detect the plumbum. ROSH detection is conducted by third party institution, and its report is also provided by the third party.
Q:Aluminum vs. steel?
If you define stronger to be a higher yield strength, then it's about dislocation movement. Dislocations form as a material begins to deform. As more deformation occurs, dislocations begin to move. Since steel is iron with impurities (namely carbon), these impurities impede dislocation movement. Aluminum, in pure form, does not have anything to impede dislocation movement except for the grain boundaries of the microstructure, which the steel also has if the microstructures are identical. If you define stronger as in ultimate tensile strength, then it becomes an issue of bond strength. Basically how tightly iron atoms bond to one another versus aluminum atoms. There are some quantum mechanical considerations at this point, but I won't get into those details.

Aluminum is a versatile material with vast applications in engineering, aerospace and automotive industries. Some of its desirable properties include lightweight (relative to steel) and high strength. The metal is however rarely used in its pure form, it is often alloyed with other elements such as Mg, Manganese, chromium, Titanium to fine tune its mechanical, chemical and or physical properties and tailor it to specific applications. However, in some applications other materials are preferred, for example, Magnesium, due to its higher strength to weight ratio is increasingly replacing Al in transmission casing of automobiles. Also, Compacted Graphite cast Iron is preferred in engine blocks because of its superior strength at high tempreatures, dimensional stability and wear resistance. Auto engines work at very tempreatures and alloys that are capable of withstanding high pressures while maintaining stability are critical. CGCI performs better than Al in this situation. Al alloys remains an important engineering materials though.

Q:what is the purpose of using aluminum sulfate in paper making?
Aluminium sulphate was the most extensively used chemical raw material in the papermaking industry. Its primary use was in the rosin sizing of paper where the rosin soap was reacted with aluminium sulphate to impart hydrophobis characteristics to the paper. The alum had a side benefit in fixing all types of anionic substances into the paper web. All types of paper, even those that were not sized, such as newsprint,were made using alum. This resulted in the paper being made under acidic conditions. The technology has changed markedly over the last 10 to 20 years with synthetic sizing agents being developed which do not require reaction with alum. In my country there is not 1kg of fine writing and printing paper made with rosin/ alum sizing, and no alum is used at all. Various synthetic highly charged cationic resins have been developed, such as polyacrylamide resins, polyethyleneimine resins, etc, whic are used as fixing and retention agents, so that alum has been virtually eliminated. To sum up the importance of aluminium sulphate as a papermaking chemical is now very limited.
