I moved into a new house with some dirty carpets and a friend of mine offered to let me borrow her Kirby vacuum cleaner with built in carpet shampooer and I want to know how well it will clean. Is the shampooer equal to one I could rent at Wal-Mart or another store? Thanks for the help!
- I thought Kirby's were fantastic until I used a new $300 dollar Hoover at a friends house. The Hoover was much, much more powerful and cleaned in one pass. It also weighed about 1/4 of the Kirby (those of you with stairs know what I'm talking about). I've changed my mind, Kirby's are extremely overrated.

- personally I think its clothing, its either the wrong size color or style no matter how much thought you put into it, but Summer Rain is right on the money about vacuum cleaners too, I do not understand why anyone would buy one of those for a gift for anything other than a bridal shower or a housewarming party I think I would return your gift too, first off because I have no foreskin and second because it sounds like it would be rather painful to use - regifting is always good, and it sounds like you have a taker :)

- Most of the vacuums in consumer reports can be bought at your local stores or on the internet and the makers site. Be advised that you probably won't find the vacuums at the prices stated in consumer reports mag. I hunted all over for a hoover bagless vac that they rated good for under $200.00 (their price was about $160) the best I could do was $180.00 and it was a re conditioned vac plus I would have had to pay S H of $50.00. I don't know where they get their vacs for those prices but I wish they would include that in their reports.

Vacuum cleaners will use static electricity to destroy computers3. Blowing on the components will add moisture to them and destroy them.Will a bicycle pump work?Please, I am getting desperate.
- Here okorder / And just for the record, none of your three points are particularly accurate. Canned air can be expensive, but you can also get it dirt cheap if you look in the right places. It is only dangerous if you shoot it directly into your mouth (as the propellant replaces the oxygen if your lungs and you die). I've never even heard of a problem with vacuums generating static, and most tech kits include a small vacuum. And I've never seen document proof of moisture from breath destroying any computer component. Just make sure you power the system down before doing anything, and don't spit on it, and you should be fine.

- Dyson's are the most expensive vaccum cleaners that can be found in retail stores and they do a darn good job. But if you're looking for the hands down BEST multi purpose vaccum cleaner then I would highly suggest buying a Kirby. You should be able to find a Kirby retailer somewhere in your area, just google Kirby vaccums. They are pricey, but they are the best and last forever, please believe this! BTW, it's been a long time Bomb, hope everything is going well for ya. Just recently got back from another great visit to JA. I already miss Ultimate Jerk Centre food and Ting, as I always get carried away when I'm there. Always so sad to leave :( ONE LOVE.

Yes, fears of vaccums are actually rational because they know little about them except it is unknown and makes loud noises. So, a summary....Yes. I don't even HAVE kids and I know that. I was scared of the weirdest things as a child. I was scared of going under bridges and stuff because I was afraid it would fall on my car. Yea, your child is exhibiting fear.
