Q:My year old Bissell vacuum is starting to not work so well. It has way less suction than it used to and it makes weird sounds. Our upstairs is all hardwood linoleum so all I'm using it for my crazy 6' X 9' rug in the living room. Maybe all that cat hair is extra hard on vacuums? I don't know why I can't find one that will last. The one I had before this was a Eureka and it still had suction, but the rotating brush in the front broke out after 3 years of use. And it was used in an all carpeted house. What I love about my vacuum most is the compartment in the front that lets me easily dump out the dust instead of having to change a bag. But how to I search through the various upright vacuum cleaners to find one that isn't going to die after a year? Some of them say they are designed for many years, but how do I know what is real in those advertisements? Can any of you tell me what you use and how long it has worked for you? Thanks.
I got a Dyson for Valentine's Day last year (it's what I asked for). It is wonderful! My neighbor borrowed it the other day and couldn't wait to find out what kind it was. It is bagless, has great suction, and empties in the front. The compartment that has the dust is clear so you can easily see when it needs to be dumped.
Q:i hate those things, man. idk why.. how do you feel about em?
I think it is impossible to clean a carpet properly without one. If you don't get over your hatred of vacuum cleaners, you are going to be living in a pig sty. Your Mum is not always going to be there to clean up after you. And you future wife will be an idiot if she lets you get away with, Oh! I can't help you vacuum. I hate vacuum cleaners. What a woos.
Q:such as vacuum cleaners, and a straw (when you suck it it becomes a vacuum)what are some examples of vacuums in your home?
turkey baster
Q:Okay, I won't tell you who thinks what, but one of us think that you should dust your furniture, before you vacuum that way whatever dust gets on the floor its vacuumed up. The other thinks you vacuum before you dust...So which is it, do you dust before you vacuum or after? Please help this is so small but I would just like to do one of those kinda I told you so things.. Its a wife thing!
omg you should totally dust first! that way, all the dust that come flying off your furniture lands on your carpet. So, then after you dust, you can go back over and vacuum so not only are your floors clean, you have also eliminated the dust from your house, not just spread it around. Let me guess, your husband thinks you should vacuum first? haha! You're right! Another victory for you!
Q:difference between kenmore progressive 35922 and 35923 vacuum cleaners?
they both suck, however i would look at the warnetted left for both
Q:Who vacums when its pitch black???
I, too, wonder at some of these things. Another one is why there is braille on the numbers at the bank drive through ATM. I do know that when the lightbulb is out on the vacuum, it is harder to see the dirt, even in daylight. I guess the lightbulb helps create shadows so you can see the dirt.
Q:Boss want housekeepers to pay for vacuum cleaners, says they abuse them. Vacume Cleaners are are for residential cleaning and at the hotel we need commercial. Meaning the store bought ones are made for 5 maybe 10 times a month but are being used 400 times a month. I find this an unreasonable situation
im a front desk worker and I have done this work for 11 years and in all that time I have NEVER heard of a manager and/or owner asking or telling their housekeepers they had to buy their own vacuums. I do not think it is illegal but not ethical. the last hotel I worked for our housekeepers used orbit vacuum cleaners and those are household vacuum cleaners. our maintenance man cleaned them once a month. they lasted forever.. maybe that hotel needs to do that also.
Q:I'm going to college and I have a little apartment by myself with beige carpeting. I don't have a vacuum, but i do have a swivel sweeper. Can I use clean-then-vacuum cleaners? Or isn't it powerful enough? And, if not, what could I use to help keep my carpets cleaner than they currently are?
You really do need a vacuum cleaner. I would buy a $25 wet/dry vac and a sponge mop. I use to run a sponge mop over my carpet after putting pine-sol with ammonia on it.
Q:Because it seems to be clogging and breaking all my vacuum cleaners =/
There is a sponge that you can buy at almost any pet store...u rub it on the carpet or couch and the hair sticks to the sponge (using static) then u just grab the hair on the sponge throw in the garbage and use again
Q:would the world be sucked up and disapper.
HAhA, this is funny. But I believe it won't. UNLESS! Unless there are really BIG, GINORMOUS vacuum out there that are sucking at the same time. LOL
