Q:i‘ve bought both of the wipersone 26 and 28
First off, I'm quite sure your van needed 28 on both sides. To install simply lift the wiper arm and push the small lever near the center of the old wiper blade(look closely), then push the old blade down. It should come right off. To install reverse the process.
Q:i have a 91 gmc jimmy 4 door le. my wiper control works sorta i cannot get wipers to move unless i use the wash setting. and im not looking to spend $100 bucks for the control arm so im wondering if i can set up a 3 position toggle switch on my dash that will allow for wipers to work? i know it sounds dumb but i would like to have a (off, med, high) setting so if its possible what wires would i have to use?
Sure you can bypass the switch that is faulty. You might find yourself doing a little work to keep the washer working, or you can just forget it. Rather than a 3 position toggle, you might try a on/momentary switch. That is, flip it one way and the wipers go on, press it the other way and the wipers work as long as you hold the switch down. This is called a momentary switch. The idea here is to build your own intermittent wipers. You can get one swipe to take care of that pesky mist you get after it stops raining. You get constant wiping by flipping the switch the other way. As for which wires to hook up, you will need to do your own investigating. At the wiper motor you can disconnect the harness and play. The final circuit will only need two wires. You might install an in-line fuse since you don't want the burn the car up, and you do NOT know why the wipers stopped working anyway.
Q:how do I fix the motor
There's a couple possible reasons for this. 1. The switch is broken. This is a semi easy fix. You just have to buy replace the switch. If it's on the turn signal then you'll have to replace that whole part which will require disassembling part of the steering column. Get a manual to see how. 2. There is a problem with older blazers. The wireing harness for the wipers snaps directly onto the electronics card for the motor. That connection is not good often slips around misaligns ( it was a poor design ) causing the wipers to work intermittenly, stay on or off no matter what position the switch was in. If that's the problem then you'd want to take the motor off solder a new set of wireing harness directly to the card, cut off the old connector clip from the original wireing harness splice in a matching new one then reinstall the whole thing.
Q:When I turn on my wipers I get nothing, but if I tap the windshield washer it will swipe once and then go back to the ‘parked‘ position. If I turn on the wiper swith to high, and then tap the washer switch, it will swipe once really fast. On a side note; Before this happened, I would turn on the wipers real quick in the morning, and turn them right off to clear the dew. The wipers would remain on for a few more swipes, if not, they would act like they were on intermitten. It‘s getting stormy in the afternoons here in Florida, and I really need them now. Any help would be greatful.
well u know the motor is working so replace the switch a shop or dealer should help u an i agree we need our whipers in florida this time of year an ac
Q:can lubricating windshield wipers make them last longerif so what lubricant and whatis the best way to maintain windshield wipers? thanks.
No there isn't something that will make them last any longer with out compromising the effectiveness of cleaning. Wiper blades are supposed to be replace at least once a year and maybe 2 times a year. Do yourself a favor and buy the factory refills from the dealer or buy Rain-X wiper blades. I have purchased just about every blade there is from the cheapo store brand to the triple edge. For my money nothing has worked better or lasted longer than the Rain-X blades. They worked so well I started selling them in our parts department. Every once in a while I'll get a customer that has a blade that is jumping or streaking, and it usually turns out to be a bent wiper arm or worn out spring on the wiper arm.
Q:I have a 97 BMW 328i that has a problem with the windshield wipers. When I try and turn them on they only move about 2inches up and wont go back down or up any more then the few inches. Please can someone help me with this problem
just follow the steps here and youll fix this one. 1 Locate the wiper motor in the engine compartment on the firewall. 2 Check the wiper motor fuse located in the main fuse box. The owner's manual will give a diagram of the fuses and location as well. 3 Gain access to the wiper motor assembly. 4 Turn the ignition switch on. Turn the windshield wiper switch to the on position. 5 With the test light, check for power and ground at the motor. 6 Turn the ignition switch off. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 7 Disconnect the wiper arm assembly from the motor. 8 Disconnect the wiring harness at the motor. 9 Remove the wiper motor mounting bolts and remove the motor. 10 Replace the old motor with the new unit. 11 Install the mounting bolts and torque to manufacturer's specifications. 12 Connect the electrical harness. 13 Connect the wiper arm assembly to the motor. 14 Connect the negative battery cable. 15 Test the wiper motor operation at all speeds and verify the repair. or watch the video on my source.
Q:how to change a windshield wiper motor on a 93 1/2 ton gmc?

Q:old wipers are wearing out, and time for new ones. im deciding to try and get really good ones. i heard theirs these new reflex wipers from candian tire . they look really sleek but are they worth the 20 bucks?also, my neighbor got a new toyota camry 2009. the windshield wipers on them loook really nice to. where can i get those?TAHANKS
The new wipers on the camary are around 76.00 I would go to your local dealer and buy orignal wiper blades that fit properly. i found them to last longer. As a general rule oyu will need to repalce them at least 1 yearly. You my also find some good value wipers at autozone if cost is what you are looking for.
