Q: What is the difference between Artificial and Synthetic additives?
Artificial additive is introducing a chemical not normally found in the food, it is not innate but added to provide color, flavor, vitamins or other essential nutrient or to prolong shelf-life. Iodine is added to salt to prevent thyroid diseases, vitamin D and calcium are added to milk prevent rickets. These diseases were once very common but education, improved food storage and transport, and additives have radically reduced their incidence in many countries. Some additives are harvested from domestic plants like guar gum and are added as thickeners. A synthetic additive has been manufactured and added.
Q: my mom was recently diagnosed with diabetes, it runs in our family and its made me really wary of what im eating but my problem is i dont know what foods are good and bad and i try to read ingredients on their packets but i really dont know what half the stuff is, its not just sugar intake im worried about, its everything that goes in my food. i want more information on what emulsifiers and food stablizers are, are they good or bad? and which types are good or bad?, if you could give me any help on overall what foods are better for you than others that would help aswel
depends. If the additive is chocolate to powdered milk, then no. Stabilisers are to make sure the food stays as fresh or liquid as it should be fresh. Mostly stabilisers and additives are for processed foods with no shelf life and a bland flavour or colour. They are not what you nana would use. Emulsifiers are to change the texture- oil , egg, banana, apple sauce can be emulsifiers. When it's liseted on a food label, usually it will be synthetic. In that case, I don;t eat them, I just don't. I don't spend money on food that I would avoid if I was making it myself.
Q: What are the additives and additives?
Preservatives are mainly potassium sorbate (or sorbic acid) and sodium benzoate (or benzoic acid), so look at the preservatives to see these two. In addition, potassium sorbate better than sodium benzoate, Oh, in the human body to be more thorough metabolism, the cost should be higher.
Q: so i guess we learned this when i was sick at schoolits due tomorrow and if i dont finish this ill drop from a b to a D. so i reallly need help.so it says; Find the additive inverse of each polynomial.and the examples are: Sample 1: 6y-3z Solution: -6y+3zSample 2: -a?-2ab+3b?Solution: a?-2ab+3b?i DONT UNDERSTAND THIShow do they get the answer?could you do this problem for me and explain how you did it? : 2a+9b 4xy?+6x?y-y?PLEASEthis depends on my grade for this semester.
The first example makes sense. You add the two and you get 0. Do you have the signs right in the second solution? 2a+9b -2a-9b Add them and you get 0 4xy^2+6x^2y-y^3 -4xy^2-6x^2y+y^3 It's a matter of changing the signs and adding. The additive inverse is what's added that will give 0, the identity for addition.
Q: the bottle is 32oz. The only instructors it says is:Cetane Boost 32 oz. Treats3 Numbers.100 gallons6 Numbers.50 gallonsWhat is the difference between 3 and 6 numbers? My tank is 22 gallons. So I should bring it to almost empty, and then put how much of this stuff in before I fill the tank?My car also had this weird problem of the engine turning off when idle (radio stayed on). A guy suggested to me could be water deposits in the fuel tank. I got this cheap stuff called Heet, gas-line antifreeze water remover. The guy told me to put the bottle in the tnak before I fill it up for the next two fill-ups.On the back it says ‘do not use with 2-cycvle gas or diesel engines, use Iso-HEET instead - what is 2-cycle?my car 1991 mercedes 350 sdl. Thanks appreciate any help_)
When in doubt ask a service station manager or a trucker. It has something to do with the fuel. I never use it. 2 cycle is chain saw motor and lawn mower motors that take a gas/oil mixture fuel. Those are the engine that are always blowing blue smoke. Also used on leaf blowers. Get the Iso-Heet. Good thing you caught that. Water deposits in the fuel tankmore likely that the fuel filter needs draining(water will be collected in there). Should be under the hood and have a little valve underneath which you open every 6 months to get rid of water that is in the fuel.
Q: I believe my 1984 Mercedes 500SEL‘s trans pan gasket and torque converter are leaking trans fluid, at about a quart a week. I plan on replacing the pan gasket, which should take care of some of the leak, but it‘s too expensive to get the whole transmission resealed, and I think it‘s leaking in other places, like the torque converter. If I use either the lucas or trans-x additive, will they fix all the leaks, including the pan gasket, and how well will that work? Or should I replace the pan gasket, then use the additives for the seal leaks in the other places? Is the additive fix permanent, or will problems (possibly worse) arise later on? Thanks.
I will say that the stop leak additive will work in some cases but it does it by causing the seals to swell. Over time the seal will then fail and you will be back to square one. I would suggest replacing the pan gasket and then monitoring the leak and determine the best repair procedure to take
Q: Or at all?I‘ve got a ‘93 Lincoln Town car (134k miles) and a ‘92 Dodge Shadow 2.2l 4cyl (38k miles - not a typo). I‘m about to change the oil in both of these cars and I‘ll be using valvoline high-mileage in both (seems to help with brittle seals on the Dodge). I‘ve been thinking about oil and fuel additives, like Lucas. Is the stuff ever worth it or is it snake oil? Experiences? Thanks in advance.
No auto manufactures recommend these additives. No repair manuals specify them. Only the people selling them tout them. That's your clue.
Q: Are salt baked chicken flavored powder a food additive?
Salt Baked Chicken Seasoning Flour is a food additive that is not a food additive. Belong to food seasoning.
Q: Edible oil without any additives can be stored for how long
Seal save for one year is no problem
Q: what are 3 additives foundin three different foods, and what areb they for?
Food additives are substances added to food to preserve flavor or improve its taste and appearance. Some additives have been used for centuries; for example, preserving food by pickling (with vinegar), salting, as with bacon, preserving sweets or using sulfur dioxide as in some wines. With the advent of processed foods in the second half of the 20th century, many more additives have been introduced, of both natural and artificial origin.
