Q:Are solar Panels worth it?
The answer is yes. Where it used to cost around $0 per watt you can now buy a system installed for half of that. Panels are more powerful, technology is better so once again the answer is yes. In addition a lot of power companies are offering net metering programs (that is where you sell your extra power back to them for credit). It's like putting power in the bank during peak solar days to use when the sun doesn't shine. You stay hooked up to the grid and when you're making more than you're using your meter spins backwards.
Q:Could you have a solar panel in space?
Absolutely. Many satellites and other spacecraft that have been launched throughout history carry solar panels to power themselves. The International Space Station alone has hundreds of square meters of solar panels. Q:help understanding solar panel stuff?
Solar panels turn sunlight into direct current electricity usually at 2, 24, or 36v. You could probably have a very simple system with just a panel and a few dc fans assuming that: the panels never put out more power than the fans can handle, you don't mind the fans slowing and stopping when the sunlight fades. my theory is that when sunlight hits the panel it excites the electrons from the rays there by making them move more quckly and attract them to a source with less elctrons making the panel positiveli charge and the electron collector negatively charged thereby connecting the negatively charged particles to which ever body it wishes to donate it too thereby causing electric charges

Wood? Steel tubing could be a lot lighter. Use the hardest narrowest tires you can find bicycle wheels and tires would work nicely and they can be had with really light disc breaks. As for a motor a golf cart motor is made to order. You can get an old electric golf cart and have almost all the parts you will need. Hell cover the roof of the cart with photo voltaic and have a ball. Note I stress weight savings as weight will cost you energy and with photos you won't have much to spare. You will need a battery pac of some sort lithium are a better choice than lead acid. there is a ton more to consider good luck with your project.
