Q:Fabric Band-aids or Plastic Ban-aids?
Fabric Band Aids
Q:What is more poisonous: cigarettes or plastic?
Plastic has to melt or burn to release any sort of toxins, so cigarettes are definitely more poisonous. But it takes an awful lot of cigarettes an awful long time to do any more harm than inhaling any other type of smoke into your lungs would do.
Q:How do you melt plastic bags for jewelry?
Sorry, cold not come up with a solution, maybe these sites will give you some ideas. I saw one that was melting plastic disposable glasses and plastic soda bottles.
Q:Would anyone tell me a G36C airsoftgun with no plastic?
your always going to find plastic on a gun no mater what.it might even be the smallest part but its gonna have plastic
Q:Is it dangerous to chew plastic?
complex matter. search onto the search engines. this might help!
Q:Types and uses of agricultural plastic products
According to the division of agricultural plastic application areas are mainly agricultural covering materials; agricultural water supply pipeline and water saving equipment; plastic packaging materials and agricultural planting, breeding, storage with various materials.
Q:can you live plastic free?
PERMACULTURE ANSWER: Whilst plastic is not evil the scale of its use is the environmental problem. Plastic production is highly unsustainable, presuming that we are talking about the oil based plastics and not the new bio-starch products. If I go to the supermarket and bring home my shopping in plastic carrier bags, they are ephemeral so they are quickly disposed of. The chances are that the bag will end up in landfill after one use. Whilst cotton bag production is also unsustainable it is generally used many many more times, generally for a number of years. And are not non-biodegradable. People do not tend to tie their other rubbish into a cloth bag to send it to landfill. Cotton bags will compost in any home composter. Therefore a reused bag made of cloth clearly does not have the same detrimental effect on the environment as a reused bag made of plastic (or many). The environmental impact of plastic bag disposal is magnified because of the number of the bags that are used. A wicker basket would be the obvious thing, to cut down on this massive use on single-use plastic carrier bags. Willow can be grown on sewage outfall which as we know is an environmental pollutant. There are no ENVIRONMENTAL costs of processing/production of a willow basket. It is a local economy that does not use heat, beat or treat. It could be grown in the supermarket car park dealing with the waste from the toilet block. In Permaculture we call this zoning and edge. It also demonstrates redundancy of function when used in sewage treatment. Willow is highly sustainable, from willow coppice and returns to the ground without trace. People object to carrying small cotton bags around. Whilst willow baskets are the obvious solution, how do we persuade people to give up their free plastic carrier bags in return for a bulky purchased willow basket.
Q:What is plastic hinge mechanism?
This Site Might Help You. RE: What is quot;plastic hinge mechanismquot;? What does it mean if a beam is said to have failed by plastic hinge mechanism, and which types or sizes of sections would be most likely to fail in this way?
Q:why are plastic containers better than plastic wrap (help please for wed!)?
Plastic wrap contains di(ethylhexyl)adepate (DEHA), considered a carcinogen, is found in plastic wrap. Also when microwaving plastic wrap, xenoestrogen was migrating into the oil. Xenoestrogens are linked to low sperm counts in men and to breast cancer in women. ********This applies to all plastics both containers and wrap We should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers or plastic wrap. This applies to foods that contain fat, as the combination of fat, high heat and plastics releases dioxins into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Saran wrap placed over foods as they are nuked, with the high heat, actually drips poisonous toxins into the food. Use paper towel instead. The Tupperware line is microwave safe. Some manufacturers now make microwave cookware I'm not sure what there secret is I did not research that. My daughter sells it also. I will ask her.
Q:Plastic cuvet and quartz cuvet?
Plastic cuvettes are cheaper than quartz, for one! Did they mix the fluorescent dye in the plastic, too? I'd have to see what they were measuring, but you do know that plastic adsorbs certain materials that quartz will not. Perhaps there was some fraction of the saliva solution that they did not want transferred over. When doing antibody research, we routinely used plasticware to make the antigens stick to the plastic. That is a possible explanation.
